You've almost captured your opponent, and then he goes invisible and appears on the other side of the map, starting to retake everything, and you're like, "Damn, I forgot about invisibility."

Interloper, yalnızca 5 dakika süren maçlara sahip, çevrimiçi, çok oyunculu, gerçek zamanlı bir strateji oyunudur. Rakibinizi yok etmek yerine alan adı alarak kazanırsınız. Rakibinizin hareketlerini tahmin ederek, onu köşeye sıkıştırarak tüm haritayı ele geçirebilirsiniz.

It is simple, it is easy to pick up, it is fast paced, it is a joy to play, and it is completely dead. And not even in the "all the lobbies are empty" sense of dead, the servers are down so you cannot even play it with your mates. The developer has completely abandoned it and I am not sure why. The fact that it is a small indie game with no players isn't a reason, as other indie RTS games such as 0 AD are in the same boat but continue to be developed. The only clues as to why it died that I could find are in the game design itself: 1. Prone to stalemates: It often happens that a single corridor on the map becomes an important point to defend for both you and your opponent and so both of you try to attack it with your sentinel. What happens then is that your sentinels headbutt and enter a hard to resolve situation: whoever moves first, loses, unless they have defenses set up. If one of you has a higher production rate of units then they can set a defense up and then move away, but if you're matched in production you're stuck in an eternal stalemate that is only resolved when one of you concedes. This happens to me once every few games when playing against the AI. 2. Little space for strategic creativity: All of the buildings are part of the level design instead of being player-built, there isn't a lot of unit variety, and the maps are all very small. It doesn't take many hours to iterate through every single variation of what to capture and when. 3. Difficult to adjust the design of: I've had a hard time coming up with solutions to the above problems. Units do not have hp, so critical hits are not a thing to resolve stalemates. Varying production times for the factories probably won't resolve stalemates either. Making sentinels pass through each other might work, but it might also lead to other problems. You cannot allow players to place buildings arbitrarily without immediately breaking the game. larger maps will lead to longer games (although I would be happy with 15 minute matches as well, so maybe this is a possibility), etc. I wish this game was open source so I could try my best at fixing these issues. This is the only RTS game that I actually managed to finish the tutorial of and start having fun. Even the rotting corpse that currently remains on steam is fun to play, since you can fight against the AI. For a price of $0 what you get right now is a fun afternoon and a glimpse into a game that could have been. We need more easy to learn RTS games.
