The mood in this game is incredible. I recommend really taking your time and walking slowly through the levels. Some of them are better than others, of course, but all of them are great. I bought the game not really expecting anything, but I was blown away.
goated, fun, really good photography mechanic, really nicely designed enviroments, really nice ambience, jerma, really great little puzzles, loved it!
It's definitely a more atmospheric kind of horror game. No monsters that chase you, no jumpscares, no hazards, etc. It's just you, your camera, and a series of liminal spaces for you to explore and interact with. Each one definitely has a unique environment to it.
Good game
It has a very unique vibe to it, it is exactly what it describes on the tin, the overall feeling of it is one of my favorite from any liminal space game, and it left me longing for more. 10/10
An absolutely delightful, atmospheric jaunt around some liminal spaces, with fun setpieces to take photos of! My main complaints are kind of petty... - Coming from a coward's perspective, I really... really did not enjoy Cryptid-kun scuttling around. I think the act of being truly alone makes things hit a bit harder, and about every time I got accustomed to its presence, it did something unnecessarily freaky as if only to bully me, specifically [very petty complaint] - I also wish the camera could take... uh, better pictures? One of the main reasons I decided to play was to see if I could take some nice shots to use as backgrounds on my computer, but not only are the photos really small when they're saved, the film grain is so aggressive it can be distracting. Oh well. - I also wish the spaces were... more? It feels like the closest you get to somewhere truly cool to take pictures of is upstairs in the Hotel and that one secret in the School (although the film grain there is so aggressive all of my photos were worthless, sob), and as soon as it feels like it's about to reveal some *really* cool locales to take pictures of... It ends! A bummer, but what is here is still fantastic to vibe in. It was still a fantastic and charming game even with my complaints, 10/10 would 100% in one sitting again. Very worth your time.
Spiel ist eine kinderfreundliche Mischung aus Fatal Frame und Silent Hill 2. Suchen/Fotografieren und Erkunden, aber keine angreifenden Monster.
Fun find the anomaly (and other objects) game. Creepy/Unsettling rather than scary which is fine by me - but if you are into adrenaline-only type games this isn't for you. It could be improved by a bit more narrative heft, but it was adequate for what it is. One issue I had was when I got to the forest I had to "disable retro effects" because it was too distracting and I appreciate the ability to do so. And unlocked cryptid minigame was a fun extra. Will probably go back and complete the 3 remaining achievements.
I bought the game because the camera concept looked cool and the way it uses it to scare is nice
lemons.
