ABSOLUT CINEMA
I love that you can play the same card game differently to get a different experience!
Words can't describe this game. Also... I can't describe this game. ... but, I like it. I like it a lot.
What is this game?
Inscryption is the indirect successor to "The Hex" and "Pony Island" - expanding upon the ARG Mullins-verse. This game has you play as Luke 'The Lucky Carder' - a youtuber who happens to stumble upon a mysterious floppy disk that seems to have a will of its own.
Price/replay value
Horrible - Bad - Decent - Good - Amazing
Achievement hunting
Akin to Mullins games - there's a ton of missables and secret related ones. A lot of these can be quite challenging, but not impossibly difficult with a guide and proper setup. By far and large the hardest are Kaycee's mod related - having you go through a gauntlet of challenging (and often unfair) fights to barely scrape your way to victory. Skull storm especially is the hardest by miles.
Pros/cons
Pros

Tons of replay value (Kaycee's mod is a roguelike mode)
Tons of secrets and an entire ARG (granted solved by now)
Solid story with fun characters
Cons

Kaycee's mod can get very rng heavy
Fair hand mechanic makes most 1 blood cards unplayable

Overall opinion
I thoroughly enjoyed this game. I played through the main story a few years ago and had a blast uncovering all the secrets and little extras. Recently picked it back up to finish Kaycee's mod, and whilst it wasn't always "fair" - I did still enjoy most runs and overall would say the game retains its replayability and overall enjoyment. It's also fun to see what broken combos you can make in the main acts as this game allows you to do a lot of silly stuff. Highly recommend to all the patient gamers who haven't played it yet.
tldr;
Fun puzzle card game with wacky balancing.
Should you buy it?
Highly recommend you do.
