About
You can always go further. The question is whether you should. Welcome to the Infinite Backrooms.
An endless, procedurally generated maze where every step can lead somewhere new. Rooms, corridors, dead ends, and entire areas are generated from a seed as you explore, meaning every game can unfold differently.
There is no map to memorize.... There is no safe route.... and you never know what is waiting around the next corner.
A World That Never Repeats
The world is generated from a seed and can extend roughly 2.15 million kilometers in any direction from your starting point, around 11 times the distance from Earth to the Moon.
The question isn't where the maze ends. It's whether you'll make it there.
No loading screens. No level select. No boundaries.
Survival Is Part of the Horror
Your hunger, sanity, and flashlight battery constantly drain as you explore. Search abandoned areas for food, batteries, and other useful items while trying to keep yourself alive.
And when the lights go out, things get worse.

Each level has its own day/night cycle, eventually plunging the environment into complete darkness.
Stay prepared. Stay together. And whatever you do...
don't waste your flashlight.
One Endless World.
Unlike other Backrooms games that isolate each level behind a loading screen, Infinite Backrooms connects all rooms, corridors and levels into a single living map:

The world transitions around you, familiar places becoming unfamiliar, comfortable spaces becoming wrong.
Play Alone or With Friends

You're Not Alone
The Backrooms are not empty. Some entities hunt by sound. Some only appear in darkness.
And some are simply waiting for you to make a mistake.
Every run is different. Every decision matters.

I definitely appreciate the game's idea, especially as someone who loves open world. I played the demo, and this is a massive step-up from the demo, especially with the clear progression through the levels and the behaviors of the entities. However, there are some things I would like to see in the future. Potentially less basic generation of each environment would be nice. Some places look more like Minecraft than an actual backrooms. Also, I still would like to see more work done on the entity AI, as a lot of the entities are tough to deal with. Also wish that the blackouts didn't happen like they do. The lights just flicker after like ten minutes, and I'm guessing there's a set time for when they turn back on as well. I would like to see that be more random, and if it is kept that way it would be nice to have a longer battery time in the flashlight, as you cannot play the game without a flashlight in the dark. Also, please tell the player that you can turn on your flashlight using the "F" key. I thought that it was some item I had to pick up for three rounds until I realized I had it already the whole time. The graphics could also be optimized a fair amount. Along with that, there is still some light-bleed through the corners of the walls. Overall, I really love the simple nature of this game, and it has so much potential to be a game for both casual and hardcore backrooms fans. All that needs to really happen is creating better generation, entities, and getting rid of some of the set timers on things like blackouts. I don't agree with many of the negative reviews on this game because most don't give any valid criticism of the game, even though it's still in the early days of development. So the game devs should definitely keep working on this project, because I would love to see it blossom into a random version of liminal space games that are already out there, such as Pools. Keep up the good work.
