About
You can always go further. The question is whether you should. Welcome to the Infinite Backrooms.
An endless, procedurally generated maze where every step can lead somewhere new. Rooms, corridors, dead ends, and entire areas are generated from a seed as you explore, meaning every game can unfold differently.
There is no map to memorize.... There is no safe route.... and you never know what is waiting around the next corner.
A World That Never Repeats
The world is generated from a seed and can extend roughly 2.15 million kilometers in any direction from your starting point, around 11 times the distance from Earth to the Moon.
The question isn't where the maze ends. It's whether you'll make it there.
No loading screens. No level select. No boundaries.
Survival Is Part of the Horror
Your hunger, sanity, and flashlight battery constantly drain as you explore. Search abandoned areas for food, batteries, and other useful items while trying to keep yourself alive.
And when the lights go out, things get worse.

Each level has its own day/night cycle, eventually plunging the environment into complete darkness.
Stay prepared. Stay together. And whatever you do...
don't waste your flashlight.
One Endless World.
Unlike other Backrooms games that isolate each level behind a loading screen, Infinite Backrooms connects all rooms, corridors and levels into a single living map:

The world transitions around you, familiar places becoming unfamiliar, comfortable spaces becoming wrong.
Play Alone or With Friends
Explore the Backrooms solo or in online co-op with up to 6 players.
Stick together to survive. Split up to cover more ground.
You're Not Alone
The Backrooms are not empty. Some entities hunt by sound. Some only appear in darkness.
And some are simply waiting for you to make a mistake.
Every run is different. Every decision matters.
Features
True infinite procedural world generation with seed system.
Interconnected environments with seamless transitions.
No loading screens between areas.
Shareable seeds, explore the same world as your friends.
No entity mode. Just explore the backrooms peacefully.

Love the idea of a truly infinite Backrooms game and maybe with 1.0 it will be much better but right now it's not good. The map generation is incredibly basic and really boring to wander around in. This is by far the least interesting Backrooms/Liminal game I've ever played. It's the same few layouts repeated endlessly. It doesn't feel like you're lost in a complex labyrinth. And the Smiler entity doesn't feel fair. It phased through a wall and killed me after my batteries all died and my hunger meter depleted. That is after finding nothing in the game's endlessly repeated wide open spaces and long hallways in the Pool section that are just a long straight line. Finding food and batteries isn't really fun and just feels like RNG. Another problem with the map generation is you can see ahead where the game hasn't loaded yet and it's just fog/void until you get close enough for the game to load those areas. This was very noticeable in the Poolrooms area and it really killed the atmosphere and immersion. The game is really cheap though so at least they're not asking for much and it is in day 1 of Early Access. I'd like to see this game go somewhere but with the current map generation and survival mechanics I can't recommend it, not with so many other Backrooms games out there.

I will give y'all a brutally honest review here, I think the game in its current state should have stayed as a demo. BACKROOMS OVERALL DESIGN: The backrooms levels themselves look rushed, empty, and overly large. it feels more like y'all slapped a couple rooms together for each level (especially pool rooms), and called it a day. If you dialed down the size a bit, or made it more liminal and have the huge rooms appear once in a blue moon, it would be great! The entities are ok, they aren't really scary, just really annoying. I've seen a lot of pathfinding issues with their AI, they frequently get stuck in small corridors, or simply ignore the walls and phase right through it. GAMEPLAY AND MECHANICS: I feel like the hunger/thirst isn't really needed here. It makes the game more of a pain than fun. Speaking of bars, the battery bar should be extended more. During a blackout, your flashlight battery runs out super fast. I don't mind the mechanic, I think it does make it more fun but Please, PLEASE extend the battery life. One thing I find funny is that the player models are so detailed, but the levels themselves look very pre-alpha. MULTIPLAYER: I haven't noticed too many issues here, seems like it runs fine. One issue I did see was that every once in a while, the seed resets and kicks off all of our progress, which is super annoying. SUMMARY AND OPINION: I feel that the game should have had a bit more love and time put into it. I am not mad about the money I spent, I think the idea of this game is super cool and unique, and with more time, love, energy, and support, this can blow up and become a really fun game! just for now I don't recommend it, I feel it still has a way to go before we can sit down and play this more thoroughly. Right now it feels like a tedious fetch quest, but I feel like this game will improve majorly. Also, 9 bucks for this game is kind of crazy in its current state.
It's good, but the Smile entity follows me to the elevator and kills me, and the battery runs out really fast—but the game is awesome.
I played the game with a friend who, like me, is a Backrooms enthusiast. We've played lots of games, such as Escape the Backrooms, Backrooms: Escape Together and Inside the Backrooms. However, I wouldn't categorise this game in the same way, even though it's a Backrooms game. If you're looking for an escape room-style game with puzzles or a story, you might not like it in its current state. However, it does have a lot of potential if the developer continues to work on it. So I'm going to review it on its own merits. I'll be honest about it and look at its pros and cons. The positive things and features are: - Every playthrough is different. Everything is randomly generated. You start at Level 0 and need to find keycards, which usually spawn in the same kind of room, to get to the next level. There are more than one key card, so it's difficult to get stuck. - You can play in multiplayer mode with friends. The voice chat has very low latency, similar to Discord. It works well enough that we didn't experience any major lags or random crashes of the lobby. - The new sanity, hunger, battery and blackout features do make the game challenging when entities are active. So it's definitely an improvement on the demo. - As far as I can tell, there are three entities. They are simple, but they don't make things easy for you. The Smiler is especially challenging when there is a blackout, as it also drains your sanity, just like staying in the dark without a flashlight. - The sounds and places have a backrooms vibe, even though the style is simple. Things to approve: - When playing in multiplayer mode, you can revive your friends. But the feature is buggy right now. We always spawn in Level 0 and get stuck in a pillar or wall. We have to wait until we die, then there's a three-minute countdown before we can respawn. I really hope this gets fixed. -The blackout seems a little too long and feels more like a 'hard mode'. I like the challenge, but the fact that the Smiler can go through walls makes it difficult. Some people might get frustrated as their batteries run out very quickly. - Adding more unique entities and new levels would be great, but I think improving the existing ones should be the first priority to make them feel special. It would be great to have more variations of pool rooms and different types of mall with isles and office rooms with different walls and floors. I would enjoy having to search more for the key cards. - The most important thing on this list is: Some kind of quest or crafting system. Something that gives you goals beyond just finding an exit. I haven't made it to the end of the released game yet because the bacteria entity killed us every time before we got there, but once we have finished it, I would like there to be more different kinds of challenges. - The music in Level Fun could be improved slightly, as the loop is quite short. - You could add some cosmetic items that can be found and collected, such as party hats in Level Fun and headphones in office rooms for example. You could also add badges or colours to the backrooms suit for every quest or achievement you complete. It would be good to have some kind of reward for doing things, so that you feel like you have achieved something. To be honest, the game is rough around the edges, but it does have potential! I like that it's NOT doing the same as Escape the Backrooms, etc. Those games are great, but I like it when people try different types of game. Don't let yourself get dragged down by bad reviews. I understand them to an extent, but that doesn't mean it can't improve. Please continue to work on this — my friend and I are going to play it. We've had a lot of fun so far and we've laughed a lot. We'd like to see the game improve. I'll edit my review as soon as you release a new update.
To be honest, as a Russian (perhaps the first one to write a review), I’d say this: the game might not appeal to everyone, but personally, I liked it. I’d say the author is awesome. Of course, I’ve seen a lot of games like “Behind the Scenes,” but this one is unique. The author is awesome, kudos to them for taking the initiative and deciding to create such a unique game. In fact, since the game is in early access, I wouldn’t blame the author for the game being bad — on the contrary, the author is awesome. Despite my old PC, which I used to play this game on, it still ran well (either because of the quality of the optimization or something else). I really hope he’ll keep developing the game — in terms of models, levels, biomes, and so on. I hope he’ll find a team that can improve the game dozens, or maybe even hundreds of times. I really hope the developer will keep promoting the game. I’m really glad I bought it — I don’t regret it. But be careful: the game is still in early access, so don’t upset the author.(created with interpreter)
this game sucks so bad looks like the devs did not chnage anything from the Demo, worst backrooms game and i played one that cots 2 bucks
Pretty Fun and Great. Few things I suggest. Batteries should die out slower or the blackout needs to be shorter and Maybe Hunger should last just a bit longer. For the Future I can't wait to see: -More Levels & Level Improvements maybe like water slides in some of the pool areas and etc. -More Monsters -Improved Monster AI (Ai goes thru walls sometimes like Smiley and sometimes have too much of a linear path.) Other than that Pretty good first impressions!
This game needs some work. great concept but it shouldnt take me the entire time to find an elevator and have everyone in my party die before being able to get close to it.
Si vous avez de la chance en une heure le jeu est terminé, sinon trois siècles ne vont pas suffire.
