About

In the 10 years following the pandemic, humanity has fallen to millions. Billions died, but very few could stay dead...
In this dark world, our extraction team, which conducts hostage rescue operations to save even a single person, will be pulled into the depths of darkness in search of light after stumbling upon a clue by chance.

Infect Cam: A high-risk, adrenaline-filled survival experience. With your four-person team, you will constantly face enemies who outnumber you, be forced to manage limited resources, and chase a possibility that could change the fate of humanity…

Each rescue team consists of four members. No one can survive alone, but together you have a chance. Communicate, cooperate, share resources, and trust one another to increase your chance of survival.

Every moment matters. Just like every bullet, med-kit, and teammate. Experience the struggle for survival from a body-cam’s point of view with limited visibility. Make quick decisions while gathering equipment and supplies, because those decisions can either save your team or lead to their end.

Each city will bring different challenges. Make sure to stay together. If you get lost, you’ll be alone. If you’re alone, you’ll die. As you push further into the unknown, those who don’t want you to uncover what’s hidden will come after you. Be prepared, because at the beginning of the end, you won’t be welcomed.

Infect Cam, developed and published by Ravenholm Interactive, takes a familiar zombie survival formula and reframes it through a distinctly immersive lens by adopting a body-camera perspective that immediately alters how players perceive both danger and control. Rather than presenting the apocalypse through a polished, game-like interface, it opts for a stripped-down, almost raw visual approach that places you directly in the boots of a field operative navigating infected territory. The premise centers on small teams entering quarantined zones to complete objectives such as rescuing survivors or retrieving critical resources, but the real hook lies in how the game forces players to experience these missions with limited visual guidance and a constant sense of unease. What makes the experience stand out early on is its refusal to rely on conventional HUD elements. There are no persistent indicators to reassure you about your condition or surroundings, which means situational awareness becomes your most valuable tool. You have to pay attention to sound cues, environmental details, and the behavior of your teammates to stay alive. This design choice gives even routine encounters a layer of unpredictability, as threats can emerge suddenly and without warning. The tension feels more organic compared to traditional zombie shooters, where players often operate with full informational clarity. Here, uncertainty is a mechanic in itself, and it works effectively in creating a constant low-level anxiety that escalates quickly during encounters. The cooperative aspect is clearly the backbone of the game. When played with a coordinated group, Infect Cam can deliver genuinely gripping moments, especially when communication and quick decision-making come into play. Sharing resources, covering blind spots, and navigating tight environments together creates a strong sense of reliance among players. The missions encourage teamwork not just as a bonus, but as a necessity, and this is where the game feels most alive. However, this strength also highlights one of its key weaknesses—playing solo or with unreliable matchmaking significantly diminishes the experience. Without a cohesive team, the mechanics feel less balanced, and the tension can shift from engaging to frustrating. Despite its strong conceptual foundation, the game struggles to fully realize its ambitions due to noticeable technical and design limitations. Performance issues, occasional instability, and inconsistent multiplayer functionality can interrupt immersion and make sessions feel unpredictable for the wrong reasons. There are also moments where the gameplay systems feel underdeveloped, particularly in how feedback is communicated to the player. Without clear indicators, the lack of polish in animations, hit reactions, and environmental interaction becomes more apparent, sometimes making it difficult to interpret what is happening in critical situations. Combat itself sits in a somewhat awkward middle ground. While it serves its purpose and can be tense in the right circumstances, it lacks the physicality and responsiveness that would make encounters truly satisfying. Weapons don’t always feel impactful, and enemy behavior, while varied enough to avoid complete repetition, doesn’t consistently evolve in ways that challenge the player’s strategies. The survival elements, such as resource scarcity and mission pacing, are conceptually strong but not always executed with the balance needed to keep the gameplay loop engaging over extended sessions. Visually, Infect Cam succeeds in establishing a bleak and oppressive atmosphere, even if its technical presentation doesn’t always match its ambitions. The environments do a good job of conveying abandonment and decay, and the body-cam effect adds a layer of realism that enhances immersion. However, the world can sometimes feel static, lacking the interactivity and detail that would make it feel fully lived-in. Character models and animations are functional but don’t leave a lasting impression, which slightly weakens the emotional impact of the experience. In the end, Infect Cam feels like a game built around a compelling idea that hasn’t yet been refined into a consistently polished product. Its immersive perspective and emphasis on cooperative survival offer something different within the genre, and there are moments where it genuinely captures the intensity it aims for. At the same time, technical issues and uneven mechanics prevent it from reaching its full potential. It’s a title that shows promise and could grow into something much stronger with continued development, but in its current state, it feels more like an early iteration of a great concept rather than a fully realized experience.
Oyunu aldığım an 8 dakika kadar oynadım.
Absolute ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ of the game. Just mindlessly collect papers and other things. Pretty much empty game with asset flip, clanky movement and animations and all sorts of problems that come from new games made on unreal.
