Do you like Stardew Valley's mining segments? Do you like befriending monsters? DO YOU LIKE KOBOLDS!? If so, this is the game for you. If not, rethink your life.
Pretty good game, i recommend it, not to go on the cliche thing of that its a ""hidden gem"", but its fun, entertaining and its good to pass time, its a simple and fun game.
-The game is very good and has potential -Please can you translate the game to Spanish -The game would have more sales if it were in Spanish
The game is worth the asking price. The story about the demon kingdom is interesting and all the important characters convey their personality well with chit-chat and cutscenes. I do wish the characters' appearance would change as the story progresses
(such as Gideon's contraption for Roviria shown at the very end)
. I also would have liked if the characters walked around the world by themselves, not just remain stationary and waiting for me to come to them. Music can get very funky, very enjoyable! The game revolves around you collecting resources to buy or make better equipment and progress through the story when you are strong enough. If you want to play on the higher difficulty (called Heroic when the map is open) then you will be grinding for equipment and levels. Inventory management is frustrating. You get a box where you can store any item you have collected. The issue is the interface with which you interact with this box is very narrow and not fun to use. The maximum amount of slots you get in the box is fair. At the end of the game I had a few free slots left. I had a few occasions where I had to throw away items because of inventory constraints. In the dungeons, if you dash around quickly, your party members may get confused and become unable to follow you! This can be quickly remedied by switching from party mode to single and back. In fact, this is a really quick way to move every party member close to an enemy and force the enemy to take a bunch of hits immediately. This seems to be the only way to effecitvely fight boss enemies without taking a lot of hits. Every party member has one unique equipment slot reserved for the weapon. This weapon can be a spell (or staff of chronos). I haven't found a way to tell the party members to use any other spell in the inventory other than the one found in their unique inventory slot. Indemon Tales is a fun game, but it's lacking in player's interactivity with the characters. I can recall one occurance where I was asked what I would do in the immediate situation. I doubt it had any impact on the story. There should be a lot more ways to interact with the characters.
The Binding of Isaac heran. °L°
Short: -Simple realtime combat -Good exploration -A few Riddles -Funny characters -Interesting Story Long: Bought it for 2 Euros. For me its a hidden gem. I really like the exploration. The combat is simple, but there are enough different spells and weapons to choose from. I dont know the last time in a game when i was so happy to find some new spell or gadget at the end of a dungeon. It doesnt need a massive open world with 300 markers to pointless things. Here i have a few places and dungeons with a few riddles mixed in. Should you buy it? If you like the pixel art and action rpgs, go ahead. A lot of good content for a small price.
What if the Stardew Valley mines were an entire game, fleshed out with more RPG stuff and better combat, and your best friend was a cute green lizard lady?
"Indemon Tales" offers a fresh twist on the indie game scene with its blend of adventure and camaraderie among monsters. Despite its dark premise of abduction by monsters, the game unfolds into a heartwarming narrative of friendship and redemption in the monster kingdom of Tarborea. With engaging characters like Gwen the Kobold, Roviria the "Fangster", and Ikkri the Demon leader, players are drawn into a world of strategic choices and perilous tasks. It's a compact, delightful journey that showcases the unexpected bonds formed in the least likely of places, making "Indemon Tales" a standout indie gem.
Beat the game, now, take two on review. I enjoy the story for its simplicity, the characters for their uniqueness, and the gameplay for being like candy that I'm shoving down my mouth in fistfuls. This gameplay loop is incredibly simple. Mining and fighting both level you up and unlock new gear. Enemies drop gear, deeper floors have more loot. The loot could be gear, or materials to make new gear. The game is like an infinite cycle of improvement euphoria. Much of the gear has unique properties (the artifacts, mostly) and can change the way you play entirely. There was a sword called "Riptide" which changed the mana usage of a special attack from 30 to 0, meaning every 15 or so seconds you could use that special attack for free. The weapon was easily outclassed by many in damage, yet had its own niche for the stun that specific special move applied. The story is something that can be followed, or not. The game doesn't have many stray paths you take that affect much at all. Your character decides meaningful things on their own, and the other main characters progress the plot individually. Despite that, the story is meaningful because of the characters that make it up. It's very easy to grow attached to these characters. I've laughed at many lines of dialogue playing this game, and some characters feel real, to an extent. Most of the dialogue feels natural, barring a few instances where it felt forced, and flows well through your companions' conversations. Much of this dialogue has a bit of a furry or internet feeling to it, but I'm in those groups so... yeah. Yeah, I like it.
Interesting concept (similar to Rune Factory), but visual and control settings are not up to what should now be standard quality on PC gaming.
