I recommend this game to people who are lame those souls who have no brain let them love this with no shame Wow. This was a test of patience in the worst way. If the game was made as a joke, I'd recommend cause it was hilarious. But as the description says, this is supposed to show you how real men feel, real men that he's done research on. Early Game of the Year candidate. A most excellent interactive treatise on the current state affairs in modern society. The genius of this work unfortunately will not be fully appreciated, thus proving its thesis. However, those of us who can see the writing on the wall--or rather, the forest for the trees--stand in awe of such a remarkable opus! 10/10!

This game / visual novel makes you feel stuff, you may not want to feel. That being said, it is a neat and quick experience I'd recommend to even the laziest of readers. It's not overstaying its welcome at all and has some good art and, I have to say this as a German, music.

IN CELL is not a game, it's an e-book that's been dumped on Steam masquerading as a game. As a visual/interactive novel, this doesn't feature any notable gameplay, it's just a lot of clicking through badly written dialogue that would never have been accepted or published in print, which poses the question, "How did something this badly written end up on Steam?". When someone hoping to become an author is unable to get published in print, they spend $100 and dump their high school fan-fiction onto Steam, under the guise of a game. This e-book... hahaa, wow. Amazing. I was truly amused by this product, but not for the right reasons. But a warning, because this book and my review get into slightly heavier subjects than usual, but I think this is necessary to warn people about this product. Normally Ren'Py e-books are dumped on Steam by unsuccessful, social failures who cannot talk to women or work out how to appeal to them, so they write a high school anime fan-fiction about their true fantasy, their imaginary anime girlfriend/waifu. Some ambitious "authors" have multiple waifus. Regardless, the bad writing is only topped by the sheer amount of utter cringe at the whole concept of these guys writing e-books about their imaginary girlfriends [i]then paying $100 to publish their fan-fiction on Steam![/i] But here, no, this is a true masterpiece. Of cringe. And not the harmless kind of cringe like those anime fan-fiction imaginary girlfriend "authors". The author expresses his sentiments of homophobia and misogyny that probably violate Valve's guidelines. This Ren'Py e-book was dumped on Steam by one of those imaginary girlfriend types who cannot talk to women or work out how to appeal to them, but instead of inventing a waifu, he dubbed himself an "incel" and took the "red pill". This is full of pitiful memes from the "incel" movement, a group of "channers" who live in a hate filled echochamber, reinforcing their misery and hatred towards others. Hate is a form of suffering. But sympathy is earned, and not by these creeps. And if you're wondering who these "people", the "involuntarily celibate" are, they basically adore horrific monsters like the convicted rapist, Andrew Taint, are insanely mysoginist and often maintain fantasies about violence towards women... all because they think they're entitled to sex from women without bothering to do any of the reasonable things you "have" to do to form meaningful relationships with the fairer sex. Their hatred for successful men is the only thing close to their hatred for women. And while this garbage e-book doesn't go into the darker reality of the "incel" movement, it's a primer. Like Dianetics, only for even bigger losers. So this pile of crap is just an extension of that garbage "incel" meme/philosophy, dumped here on Steam. A better use of $100 than Steam Direct might be to buy some soap, a haircut, and body spray that isn't Axe. I don't believe in censorship, but I do believe it's important to call out this kind of misogynist toxicity wherever we see it. Hate leads to anger, and anger leads to suffering. Ignoring all the incel baggage, you're still left with a mountain of cringe that makes the imaginary girlfriend e-book authors look like healthy, successful, well adapted men. On to the more general reasons why I cannot recommend non-game e-books to the good people of Steam. This was slapped together with the godawful Ren'Py visual novel construction kit... enabling terrible authors to publish books as if they were games when otherwise we might have been spared the pollution. So, just like no professional writing took place here, no professional software development took place, either. Visual novels/e-books are tedious at best... imagine the best novel you ever read, be that Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy or 2001: A Space Odyssey or Twilight (if you have terrible taste in literature), but then translate that to a format where the words dribble out and you have to click your mouse every time you wanted to read the next sentence, instead of just turning the pages. You'd think it was garbage. Now imagine that experience, but with much worse writing (because if these guys could write professionally, they'd be published authors and this would be on shelves in bookstores, and they wouldn't have to pay Valve $100 to self-publish this on Steam), and you have your average Steam e-book. One of the chief problems with failed authors polluting Steam with non-game E-books is that E-books can easily just be presented in a web browser... there's no justification for charging money on Steam for what might as well be a webpage. We don't spend thousands on buying a gaming rig to spend money on Steam for something Chrome or Firefox could do. Despite having no up-front cost, this failed to appeal to the 120 million+ gamers on Steam. SteamDB showed the e-book peaked at only 3 concurrent readers... this is a dismal public reception. This was so bad they couldn't even give it away. The funny thing is, if you wanted to print this book, you'd only need to print 3 copies to satisfy the entire world's demand for it. We're left to wonder if these three readers were incels or people having a laugh at incels. But I'm glad this e-book was a failure. While this E-book has no up-front cost, you can get better quality, professionally written books and comics for free online (from places like Project Gutenberg) or from public libraries. Steam isn't a comic book store, neither is it Netflix, it's for games. Your gaming rig is not a Kindle. It's impossible for me to recommend things to PC gamers that aren't really games.
