About
In Bloom: Prologue is a free version of In Bloom. Experience the core gameplay and get a taste of the experience that awaits in the full game.
Drawing inspiration from masterpieces such as The Last of Us and Amnesia, In Bloom is a survival-horror game. You play as a farmer waking up, abandoned by his family and unfamiliar with his surroundings. All you can see around you is that what once was owned by man has now been retaken by nature. Your only hope of survival is following the instructions of a mysterious stranger whose voice you hear over a radio, instructing you to go to Save Haven base and join the rest of the survivors.
Will you survive? Will you manage to fight your way through? Or will you allow nature to overtake you as well?

In Bloom is a collaboration project made by Swedish and Polish students of Futuregames, completed in seven weeks of development. It is made for an audience that enjoys horror elements as well as puzzles and survival when playing their games. Blood, sweat and tears have been put into this project, and we hope that anyone who is about to experience it enjoys it as much as we enjoyed making it.

my girlfriend left me because i played this for 9 hours straight without leaving my room, amazing game 10/10
I'm sorry, but I feel like most of the other reviews are friends and family reviews. This just isn't a good game. The animations are poor - the enemies constantly snap back to A-posing and will do nothing for around 2 seconds. The first-person view has both arms skewed way off to the side like you're a shoulder mounted camera or something. The reload animation always reloads 6 bullets (and takes ages) regardless of how many you load. There is no indication of where to go at all. This isn't a big deal in the more linear first half, but once you get into the city, you'll be wandering around aimlessly looking for items. There are no puzzles at all, so I don't know why that's mentioned, unless you consider picking up keys to be a puzzle. The plot is... not there. You get one extended radio announcement at the beginning of the game (with voice acting!!) and then literally nothing else for the rest of the game. You do get one single moment in the tunnels where the main character tells you "Pearlforce's server computer... it's not even plugged in, that explains a lot." This in fact explains nothing, as the game NEVER tells you who or what Pearlforce is or why they would be relevant, or why their server computer would have anything whatsoever to do with plant monsters. It's so out of place it feels as if it was left from a build of a completely different game.

played through the whole prologue, this is my first review of a player made game I found through reddit. I would like to thank the developer for posting this game for free so I could try it. My initial thoughts, this game is definitely in early development and from personal experience from trying to develop a game myself its no easy feat to actually get this far and create something that has a beginning and end, here is a list of things I liked and of things that could use improvement. Things I liked: 1. The game theme is great, I like post-apocalyptic worlds (like the fallout universe) 2. I thought the lighting of the game was great it created a feeling of isolation and especially in the sewer system I felt a sense of horror and anticipation. 3. The flow of your map design was well thought out it gave a sense of exploration, but also looped back around to keep you on track with the main objective. Improvements: 1. The enemies could use some better movement design, they felt too robotic and I lost a little sense of the horror after maybe the 3rd enemy also maybe a little enemy variety or even add a small boss at the end. 2. while playing the game I had a few bugs to where the audio would tune out and it would randomly come back. 3. Some houses were too dark in the city and I couldn't see what I was doing when I walked inside them or it was too hard to tell which houses you could walk into without walking completely up to the doors. Main take away: This is a great little prologue that sets up a theme/story to the game. I recommend people try and create games for themselves so they can understand just how impressive this actually is. keep working hard on this and I hope I can come back and play this again in the future after you've added more to the game.
I had the pleasure of streaming this game with some of the developers present in the chat. I thought the gameplay was fun and had some original elements in place. I gave a few minor tips for feedback and the developers listened. I'd like to see where else this game might go.
In Bloom, doğanın ele geçirdiği bir dünyada tek başınıza uyandığınız bir hayatta kalma-korku oyunudur. Radyodaki gizemli bir sesin yönlendirmesiyle, bulmacaları çözmeli, etrafınızdaki tehlikelerden kurtulmalı ve vahşi doğa sizi yutmadan önce Güvenli Sığınak'a ulaşmalısınız.
I have GTX 670 (2 GB), and I was getting 15-25 FPS. It usually dropped when there were many cars around. In sewers, for example, FPS was higher. And for some reason cars were purple, I think same reason FPS dropped. But I loved the game, I wish for full optimized release with graphics settings.
Very good prologue! I wish they made it a full game
Yerli oyunda ingilis dili ilə yanaşı Azərbaycan dili olsa yaxşı olardı. Başlanğıc üçün pis deyil.
In Bloom: Prologue is a short but deeply emotional experience. Its art style, music, and atmosphere beautifully convey themes of growth and healing without relying on words. The calm exploration and slow pacing invite reflection. A well-crafted prologue that leaves you wanting more 🚬
Clean up a newly Fallen Village in this Color-Soaked Dystopian World, a New Upcoming FPS Famer Horror Game
A short little indie demo/prologue that was actually AMAZING to play start to finish! This horror game about being a farmer in a world overgrown and taken by plants could very easily go into the comedy horror space if it wanted to. I know they mentioned inspiration from The Last of Us and Amnesia, but I couldn't help but also see a lot similarities from Bioshock's vintage textures and moody lighting, and also We happy few's colorful saturated pallet and post processing. This was a lot of fun and a joy to go through even with this little slice of the game. I would love to see some patches for bugs and improvements before the full game releases, as I think some people will have higher expectations going in. However, aside from that I think this was a very unique game with a lot of fun environments and ideas that could be fleshed out into something huge. I definitely have the full game on my radar and will be wishlisting when a steam page/listing for it goes public. For 7 weeks of dev time from new game developer students this is VERY impressive, job well done. Cheers guys and here is to a successful launch for the full game
