An interesting little visual novel with real-time conversations about managing (or encouraging) panic when scientists discover aliens are on their way to Earth. Your choices as a news stream anchor impact how society handles the revelation and, eventually, what happens when the visitors finally touch down. Takes about 30 minutes to play and doesn't cost anything to try.
It's a fun, short little "choices matter" game about the arrival of aliens to humankind. One of the news anchors is for the aliens arriving, the other is understandably cautious, and you have to decide if you want to side with one, or the other, or be as neutral as you want to be. Each playthrough takes about 15-20 minutes, so it's pretty short, especially since the decisions have a 20 second time limit and the conversations move as fast as in real life. Overall, a pretty fun game to play for a short coffee break or if you want to explore all avenues, which takes about an hour or less.

My Experience I liked what Impressions was trying to do, but I'm not sure that it did it very well. I wish there were a neutral option at times like these. First off, I just can't understand why my particular "pundit" (one of the three on the show) is so tremendously influential with regard to public opinion. Although I didn't love "Headliner" either, I thought it did a bit better job of executing this idea and making it believable. The dialogue choices seemed very predictable, often delineating into a 1) strong disagree, 2) moderate disagree, 3) completely neutral, 4) moderate agree, 5) strong agree layout. The pundit to my left is scared and takes a hard-line view, while the pundit to my right takes a welcoming and flexible one. There are many implications of the arguments made in the game (especially with regard to immigration), but I felt like these were better explored in "Quarantine Circular." So, I felt that the unique features of the game were done better in other titles - however, Impressions does expose many players to some the same ideas at no cost, and they are ideas worth thinking about. So, for that, I appreciate it.
Despite claming that "your choices will have consequnces", there aren't any. No matter what you do, the ending is the same, except you can blame different person each time.

I really enjoyed this game. I discovered it on Youtube and I knew I had to try this out myself. The freedom of choices you can make is really cool. The differing personalities at the news desk and you being the in-between made for a really interesting experience. The art may have been simple, but it was effective. It reminded me of when I draw in MS Paint, which felt quite welcoming. (in a mediocre art style kind of way, but endearing none the less). The story was really well formatted. The developer really did a good job coordinating it all. The time limits on choices really added a level of panic and stress that I didn't expect to experience from a simple-seeming game like this. I was pleasantly shocked to see this game was free. I've seen worse games that cost money and this diamond in the rough is FREE? Very kind of you to not charge for your game. You're are a generous person. So yeah. I enjoyed the game and I definitely think it's worth a play-through. It won't take long but maybe you'll get more play-time if you aim for the different endings. I've already seen them, so just playing through it once was enough for me. It would be fun to do the other endings, but you can't window the game so it's a bit overwhelming to stare at it taking up my whole screen for a long time. That's my only problem with the game. No window mode. Wish it had one. Same issue with Five Nights at Freddy's. Over than that, it was a fun game to play. Definitely. Why not give it a go? :)
Not possible to befriend aliens :(
Before I played Impressions, I had a small pp, no friends, no gf, depression, and no life. These things havent changed, but the game is pretty good
This concludes that the aliens just don't care, I guess.
It's literally free. There's no major bugs, the story makes sense, and I had fun. It's short, but again it's literally free.
