Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 8.86/day in the week to Aug 7 → 13.71/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,404 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

To be perfectly honest I don't usually write game reviews but I am both astonished at how much content this game offers for the price and at how quickly the difficulty ramps up with subsequent challenges. The standard run is a great way for new players to learn the necessary mechanics to survive. That and how to throw the grappling hook during a free fall so that they don't become a meat pancake. Nightmare mode turns things up a notch, the centipede that is normally pretty easy to avoid is still fairly easy to avoid but it is faster and smarter. It means you have to know your route, otherwise the centipede will come and very politely starts mulching you to death. Still, nightmare mode is quite manageable. Before I get on with first kiln mode I will state that I have not attempted an inverted run yet, 1. for my sanity and 2. because I wanted to see what each run had to offer before I attempted any of the silly stuff. With that stated that now brings me to the first kiln run, which I have yet to beat. I have made it quite far and I think more than anything I just have to learn the terrain with subsequent runs but I digress. First kiln mode addresses one of my gripes with nightmare mode, which is that nightmare mode felt decently easy. That said for first kiln mode the dev went, "eh the terrain was too easy, let's make that harder", and then proceeded to take every form of drug known to man and thought "wouldn't it be funny if there were more centipedes, and like, what if there were overdosing on crack?" and "oh yeah let's add dead ends to the terrain so you're forced to climb upwards if you ♥♥♥♥ the bed". I have not been able to do a full count of all the centipedes but practically every hole you climb through produces a view of at least 1-3 centipedes that are either crawling upwards towards you or climbing down after you. ANd when I say the centipedes are on crack I mean it, while nightmare mode introduces slightly faster and slightly smarter centipedes first kiln mode introduces a linebacker with a mathematicians brain. They are so much faster and they actively target your grappling hook, meaning that if they get the opportunity to drop you a few hundred feet they will absolutely do so. Beyond the centipedes, the dead ends that I have died in have offered a truly unique experience. I'll paint the scene I was presented with on one of my first kiln runs; you fell into a dead end, and after failing to grapple twice you finally get your hook set, however, there are two centipedes that are coming directly towards you like the usain bolt of crawling. That's fine you think to yourself, you have just enough time to start climbing, that is you would have enough time, if it weren't for the crack in the wall you noticed upon falling into this dead end. This crack was not big enough for you a human being to fit through, however these centipedes apparently have santa clause physics cause ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ THERE IS A CENTIPEDE COMING THROUGH THE CRACK AND YOU CANNOT CLIMB FAST ENOUGH and now you are dead. If I'm being perfectly honest what makes first kiln feel like an appropriate challenge after the first two runs, and why I'm looking forward to playing it until I beat it, is that it utilizes a skillset you should have already leraned from the first two runs. You can move very quickly in this game and while the centipedes in first kiln mode are very fast they are also very avoidable. The speed with which you can decend is far greater than the speed with which they crawl which leaves 2 issues you have to solve. The first is dead ends, which after a run or two are more trivial largely because you should have the know how to route arround them at this stage in the game. The second is more difficult terrain and while routing helps somewhat knowing how to grapple at greater distances and which surfaces are safe to use the grapple on is vital. To summmarize this lengthy review I will say this, I try to stick to a one game at a time policy and this game (as well as barony) have made me break this policy. This is a fantastic indie gem with a fantastic and fair challenge run. I truly hope that this game gains more traction and more people get to experience this game, and truly, hats off to the dev.

A historia é bem simples.

RU: Idols of Ash (7/10) EN: Idols of Ash (7/10) wins you over with its excellent atmosphere and thick, oppressive setting. The gameplay is quite engaging and keeps you hooked. The project is fully worth its price and is well buying.
when i start playing this game i thought it was just gonna be another game id played but as i played and saw the centipede and nearly crap my pants because i didn't know i was being followed, but i liked the how terrified i was while running from the the centipede but i really liked this game and would def recommended this game to anyone who like a little horror
I tell myself that I'm not afraid of insects and then every time I play a game like this I get notably nervous. I feel blessed to be able to find another great little horror game like this so quickly. They're rarely going for or achieving anything worth writing home about, but managing to pack this much to appreciate into a 40 minute experience is still highly respectable. I even did a replay of it days later and I think I like it even more afterwards. The core grappling mechanic is simple and imperfect but it's still as enjoyable as it needs to be. I like how much momentum you can build by swinging, and I think that once you get used to it there's a nice rhythm to the traversal. You don't have all the time in the world to go down, as you're being chased to the bottom by a giant centipede. I know I joked about a fear of bugs earlier but it is honestly super creepy how you can hear its excited breathing as it closes in on you, as well as the sounds of its clattering legs in the distance. By far the most fun part of the gameplay is the clutches you can do after failing a jump or an initial grapple attempt. Making "educated guesses" and getting lucky is a completely viable way to progress through this game due to its short length and it's kind of hype. I really appreciate that it doesn't put any limits on how far you can fall before catching yourself. There's a certain comedic value present in a game where the mechanics involve falling and the clutches only elevate that. Idols takes place in a giant hole in the middle of the desert, with a descent that feels like it's never going to end and the ruins of an ancient civilisation taking up most of the scenery. Regardless of if it can look a little messy, it's a grand and mysterious setting with a good sense of atmosphere. The glowing green holograms are also a very pretty visual touch in an environment that is otherwise dusty and drab. The only other common light source is from the embers of health, and they're often surrounded by these human shaped lumps of stone which add to the uneasiness. I'm more than satisfied by what little of a story there was for me to experience. I like the idea of the underground ruins just being this pit of regrets, with hallucinations of the people you left behind haunting you as you descend. There's no hope of getting back up once you reach the bottom, and you're surrounded by so many more of those who took the same plunge and got consumed by the ashes. You yourself become another faceless victim to the allure of the pit as the person you carry the most shame for, whether it's still an illusion or it's really her in some form, holds the empty husk of you in her arms. There's maybe 4 minutes maximum of actual narrative content and I still found it extremely effective. This whole game was a huge surprise in the most complimentary way possible. It really could just benefit from tightening up the feel of the hook, especially the struggle of throwing it upwards. There are some bonus modes that might be worth trying out but I don't even think it needs them to be a great game.
I was hooking onto rocks n'♥♥♥♥ and as I was hanging, I became that wiener monster's food like I was a fish latched onto a rod. AWESOME GAME! :D
