About
You begin with calluses, not a crown.
Idle Crown is a medieval idle RPG with no energy bars, no premium currency,
and no real-world clock between you and the next level. Just fifteen
skills, a Holding you raise stone by stone, and an XP curve built for the
long haul.
Chop pine to heartwood, mine tin to runite, forge bronze swords through sovereign-tier blades.
Fish minnows to leviathans, hunt rabbits to drakes, cook simple meals into royal feasts.
Combat, Piety, and Stewardship round out the lord's craft, each with passives that bend every other skill.
Early levels move quick. The endgame is measured in days. Past 99, Mastery
branches (Yield, Pace, Fortune) open for every skill,
fully respec-able.
Twelve buildings on a 20×20 plot, each granting permanent speed bonuses.
Upgrade tiers climb from pine planks to voidstone. A maxed Holding is
months of work. A centerpiece you can point at when someone asks what
you've been doing all winter.
Climb the rank ladder (Serf → Freeman → Yeoman → King) to unlock
workers who run skills beside you. At high ranks they outpace the lord
himself.
Sink coin into yield, speed, XP, crit, coin gain, minion slots, forge
efficiency, sell prices, boss cooldowns, and more. Each ranks up the
deeper you invest. Push the offline cap from 12 hours to 36. Slot a fifth
minion. A treasury that always has a reason to grow.
Every achievement is named and written in voice, with no dry "kill 100 X"
copy. Hidden achievements stay hidden until earned. Each ships with a
hand-rendered gold-on-parchment icon.
20 leaderboards: speedrun, per-skill XP, Mastery, lifetime XP, longest streak
Friend Rich Presence so your liege can see what skill you're grinding
Offline catchup up to 36 hours, so a workday doesn't wipe a play-day
Serf to Sovereign. Take your time. The throne is patient.

As many others have stated, while there is a decent skeleton of a game here it is just that - no meat on the bones. The worker system is a nice innovation and being able to pile them all on one resource to push that final level to the next resource is a nice feeling, after the first 40-50 levels in game (probably 1-2 days) progress just falls off a cliff. You need 1-2 days per level per resource, and at one point (around level 70) the progress just doesn't make any sense: need skills at level 70, but also need resources that you cannot collect until level 80. Kinda weird to say this game would almost be better with a constant restarting meta-progression system as the first 24-48 hours is much more involved than anything after that point. The renown system, while a nice meta-progression system, is a bit of a mess. The in-game help text says that you shouldn't expect to get past like level 20 or 30 in any one category, yet they all go to 100. I didn't see the AI disclosure before hand, but after playing for a while it is fairly clear where there were some decent ideas that just got filled out by generic prompts.
The game is barebones, there's not a lot of depth and I suspect there's a good amount (if not all) of AI coding in there. A bunch of very frustrating bugs that feel like they should have never made it to the live game if it was tested at all. The speed boosts are all additive with one another rather than multiplicative, so progression rate falls off a cliff after some point and it doesn't feel great. Due to the lack of depth/sense of rewarding progression, it feels like the main goal of the game is to push for leaderboards, but even that is a waste of time since it's riddled with cheaters. I'll keep playing because I'm the kind of person who finds it hard to leave a game without finishing it, but if I had the option to start playing from fresh knowing what I know now, I wouldn't.
This is a Melvor idle-like RPG game and it has many competitors in that (Visseron idle, Astaryn RPG idle, Idle realms, Eldara, Glenwich idle). This one is quite good though I like Visseron idle and Astaryn more, Here we have main quests and daily quests (which are rather long to do for my liking). Also we can do several tasks in parallel with workers. There is construction, skilling and combat. No player interaction (alas) and prestige (I don't like prestige) so far.
I like that it has no pay-to-win, ads or ad skips, etc. What you see is what you get. Unfortunately the dev has already seemed to stop updating it, the discord server has no channels and he doesn't respond to DM's. There's blatant cheaters on the leaderboards that haven't been dealt with which kinda undermines the whole appeal of having leaderboards. - Update 7/8/2026 - We got a new mini update, so it hasn't been entirely abandoned. Good changes but the leaderboards are still filled with cheaters and the discord has no channels. Wouldn't recommend the game in it's current state unless the dev starts dealing with cheaters and fixing the mathematically unreachable endgame that has been brought up in other reviews. You wind up needing quintillions of currency to get upgrades you need for things and the game lags out before that is even possible. Would take thousands of irl years to achieve naturally.
Decently fun barebones idle game that would be fine if the dev was updating it, or free. However, the progression is pretty uninspiring, you just watch the numbers go up (but not in a meaningful/satisfying way like you'd want in an idle game. Im currently sitting at needing to AFK 20hrs for a skill to level up once - I have no meaningful way to impact this, and that is just 1/20 levels I need to get the next resource. Doesnt feel like you make progress after 80 hours, wouldnt reccomend
