It's interesting for a day or two until the unlocks stop coming in and you're stuck waiting for a bunch of milestones that don't do anything to actually change how you play. For a game with "Mage's path" in its title, the game certainly feels a lot more like the path of the town's drunken craftsman for an obscenely long time. Some of the scenes mention you casting magic, but it's magic that the player can't cast because the game only gives you illusion and restoration, so it feels like the game is saying "congratulations, you can make a shadow that looks like a pot. You've awakened as a mage. That's it, there's no more mechanics to learn on this path. Enjoy six stories about blowing papers around with wind before we stop talking about it." And even after you are successful enough (Usually as a carpenter or something) to own a massive plot of land with multiple buildings on it, it feels like every story scene is still about you ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ up somehow and learning the wrong lesson. The automation looks daunting when you get to it, but it's unlocked pretty early and generally quite useful if a bit dumb, but it's often difficult to say when something should be automated. Some are easy: "Drink a physical learning potion when doing an action with the physical tag" but there's so many actions that have no level cap and no purpose other than to provide small amounts of stats that trying to find the optimal automation for them feels like a chore. I do know there's still some mechanics I haven't reached yet due to seeing automation options for mechanics I haven't unlocked, but that makes it feel like there's only like two truly new mechanics waiting for me if I continue. Not to mention I've nearly touched all corners of the "skill tree" already (which is just a configuration of buffs, not skills). It feels like the game doesn't really have anything else for me to do and I'm just waiting for my skills to grind themselves out.

Horribly slow, easily months / years to complete Very bad UI Plenty of mechanics, but they are all shallow small multipliers
A great idle game with alot of Numbers Go Up aspects that feel right, and also chill enough to play other games/shows, movies, and etc. In the full game. from demo, everything carries over and NEW UNLOCKS ARE AUTO UNLOCKED! if you meet the requirements obv. I played the demo and left it on for DAYS after i reached the "peak" i could and got some money from family to get the game i kept yapping about "Its only 5$ here now shut up" and boy oh boy haha did i have alot to say after getting it! More stuff to unlock neat little stories that dont suck you away from the randomness but also adds a level of RPG to the numbers go up game without adding visuals. I would love if there was a portrait of our Char/Area since it mainly focus on us and our stats if we could have a Custom Portrait either we choose or preset based off our choices AND ORDER of choices! Lets say PoC(Person Of Color) Portrait that starts to gain runes on their skin or floating characters/spells etc around them floating animated OR static; a magic circle or something to display our growing power and a quick easy to see visualization of our Numbers Going up; Both our stats and Magical Knowledge/power as we progress. I say avoid "Rings" as MANY games do that and imo its a bit too copy paste BUT IT WORKS! But somethign just for this i think will rock! I tried to show people who were not into NGU games but there wasn't enough visuals for them to grasph it but when i said the above they kinda got it even tho there was no way for them to see it they understand game logic haha we all love when the MC actually shows the progress of grinding for levels and equipment. i think the Magic casting needs to be worked on and explained a bit better, i found myself dancing around spell levels and the intensity. (Oh boy lol when i got the full game and started to work on the new actions my sheet went so high my routines became bad haha *a good problem imo*) Maybe a system to auto balence them OR an item-to-action to rewarded feature unlock to optimize the spell vs learning speeds. Like it auto picks the best spell level for your mana/cost per second, so you can cast the spell but also get the best results from it. Auto Max Intensity with a gauge? Benefit/Cost so you can optimize your intensity without accidently pushing it too high and acutally slowing yourself down. I understand those are just my personal ideas and opinions, most likely others feel these are good enough and im just not good enough to use it properly/"that's the whole point! They wont hold your hand" and i agree!!!!! SKILL ISSUE! YES! Haha but im a causal gamer so i have no problem being told im not "Good enough" thats fine with me cause im here to have fun and a GOOD time not the BEST time or to be NUMBER 1! or the WINNER! As long as i enjoy my time to me, I'm a winner. TBH i prob will be back here to comment more or edit more into this if i can! The game is good and cheap, i rec playing the Demo to see if its up your ally, i will so far rec the full game too BUT you will 100% get a feel for it from the demo i played it for days even after unlocking the last thing i could in the demo haha i just grinded stats. Edit: AN EFFINCENCY Visual Thing! Like a stat or a bar that shows how effective a spell/skill is at whatever Intensity or Level the spell is set to.
Very few updates since launch, game doesn't seem to go anywhere, wait for end of EA.
I thought the story was really cool for this game, and quite funny as well. This game is a slow burn, I am nowhere near the end of the game even with over 140 hours in it. Happy to keep it on as a second monitor game, and will definitely be back to see what happens to our brave mage.
玩法有趣,后期的各种系统也很有意思,就是可惜全英文只能靠截图翻译一点一点啃生肉,希望后续能有中文版,哪怕是AI的机翻也行,we need chinese,plz
Very deep. One of the deepest games I've played so far. It's text based but there are a ton of upgrades that affect one another. If you like deep content then this is for you.
This is a very nice progression idler, the best I played this year! I commend clean, nice UI, and especially presence of the UI scale accessibility option, thank you, thank you for that! Fully worth the money spent.
I don't condone the use of AI 'art'
I've spent many hours trying to figure out what to do. My Goals screen is blank so I have no direction. I can't even find a single walkthrough guide. There are about 12 different screens I keep jumping between. I'm unable to figure out what to work on. This is more a very complex puzzle game from what I can tell. The game doesn't really give any feedback on if I'm doing things right or wasting dozens of hours.
