Un gran juego, lo he seguido desde la 3DS y ya lo tengo en la switch, pero con la versión de PC esta realmente mejor. Tanto en solitario como en multijugador es un gran juego. 10 de 10

Ice Station Z, developed and published by Wobbly Tooth, is an open-world survival game that places players in a bleak, frozen landscape where resourcefulness and caution are the keys to staying alive. Set on a snow-covered island ravaged by a mysterious viral outbreak, the game drops you into an unforgiving environment with little explanation and even less assistance. From the first moments of gameplay, it becomes clear that survival here is not guaranteed. Hunger, thirst, cold, and roaming infected threats are constant pressures, creating a steady undercurrent of tension that defines the experience. The island itself is both expansive and desolate. Abandoned buildings, scattered vehicles, and icy plains stretch across the map, inviting exploration while simultaneously reminding you of the collapse that has occurred. There is no scripted narrative pushing you forward; instead, the story emerges organically through the environment. Each boarded-up house or deserted outpost hints at lives disrupted by the outbreak. The open-world design encourages curiosity, but venturing too far without preparation can quickly lead to disaster. Core gameplay revolves around scavenging and managing vital needs. Food, water, clothing, fuel, weapons, and medical supplies are all essential. Unlike more forgiving survival titles, Ice Station Z requires careful planning. Supplies are limited, and inventory space is finite, forcing you to prioritize what to carry. The need to balance immediate survival requirements against long-term preparedness adds strategic depth. Even something as simple as choosing whether to search one more building before nightfall can become a meaningful risk calculation. Combat encounters with infected enemies provide moments of heightened tension. Zombies roam certain areas, and while they can be avoided with stealth, direct confrontations are often inevitable. Weapons and ammunition are scarce enough that firefights feel consequential rather than routine. The mechanics emphasize practicality over flashiness, aligning with the game’s grounded survival tone. Success often comes from caution and positioning rather than aggressive action. Multiplayer functionality significantly shapes the experience. Ice Station Z supports both cooperative and player-versus-player interactions, allowing players to form alliances or compete for limited resources. Encounters with other survivors can be unpredictable and memorable. Trust becomes a rare commodity in such a harsh setting, and deciding whether to collaborate or defend yourself can lead to emergent stories unique to each session. For many players, this social unpredictability is where the game truly shines. Visually, Ice Station Z adopts a straightforward 3D presentation. While it does not aim for high-end graphical fidelity, the stark white landscapes and muted color palette effectively convey isolation. The simplicity of the visuals allows the focus to remain on survival mechanics rather than spectacle. Sound design reinforces the atmosphere, with environmental cues like wind, distant footsteps, or growls heightening immersion. The game’s design philosophy leans heavily toward player autonomy. There are no extensive tutorials or rigid mission objectives guiding your path. For some players, this freedom enhances immersion and realism. For others, the lack of direction can feel overwhelming. The pacing depends largely on personal initiative—whether you choose to explore methodically, fortify a temporary base, or seek out other survivors online. Reception has generally reflected this duality. Many appreciate the sandbox nature and the potential for emergent storytelling, particularly in multiplayer scenarios. Others note that the experience can feel sparse or repetitive when played solo. The game does not radically reinvent the survival genre, but it offers a focused, accessible interpretation of it, emphasizing atmosphere and player-driven progression. Ultimately, Ice Station Z stands as a survival sandbox defined by its setting and unpredictability. It thrives not on scripted drama but on the small, personal victories that come from enduring another cold night or escaping a dangerous encounter. For players who enjoy open-ended survival experiences where tension arises from scarcity and uncertainty, it provides a chilling yet engaging journey across a frozen, virus-stricken world.
