The evil Broccoli, irritated by the fact that kids hate vegetables and love ice creams, has created an army of vegetables to destroy the flavor galaxy. Only the Ice Cream Surfer with the help of his 4 super tasty friends can prevent that.

Ice Cream Surfer is a side scrolling bullet hell/shmup with retro pixel graphics and a cutesy/family oriented theme (you have to fight broccoli that wants people to eat vegetables instead of icecream). Aside from the negative message this sends children about health and nutrition, the retro 2D pixel graphics are terrible, and the controls, while they can be customised, are not great. 2 player co-op is a nice feature but not enough to pull this game over the line. Not worth $3 considering how many higher quality free games are out there.
I played it once for about five minutes and didn't like it a bit, but it somehow gave me the 'completed game' achievement and became my first perfect game on Steam. I had to go through each and every one of my 200+ games' achievements lists to find that out Easy 100% I guess, but man is it boring. Sorry devs, but you struck out hard on this one.
This game feels like an old school arcade game, where it's designed to get quarters out of you. Except, this game lets you continue and keep going, instead of having to start over, so that's nice. The game only takes about an hour to complete, and then there isn't much to do, except get better at the levels to unlock art or something. Overall, it's too short and repetative. Also, whether you care about it or not, check out the achievement list! 30 of the 31 achievements popped for me soon after I started the game, even though I doubt I met the requirements. And, the names are all messed up. I don't think this developer knew exactly what they were doing, and it kind of shows, but the game is kind fun for the hour that you play of it.
Awsome game
I just feel emberassed this game after 5 minutes. The control is horrible. Yeah, you can rebind the keys, but that even mess up more. Also gave me all achievements (expect the broken one) immediately.
Broken piece of garbage. had trouble even navigating the main menu, got forced to be player 2, eventually got to controller options...didn't seem to do anything other than constantly ask for inputs before i'd even pressed anything. went to to the game, had to use default input settings... Player 2 had a mind of it's own. Exited the game and unlocked 30 achievements. :S
Okay, it only takes 10 second into the game to know that it's a deep pile of rubbish that has been abandoned by the developer. This could have been a decent Shmup, but sadly, nothing in there is worth the detour, the only thing that feels remotely not trash, is the art. Just getting into the game was pure frustration and bug riddled. Don't approach this abomination with a 10-ft pole, even if free.
Buggy, broken, abandoned.
Aside from game looking ridicilous (about story...no comment), but this game is os bad port that this is an insult for every player.
The controls are flawless! Just for the controls, I give this game a solid 10/10
