The evil Broccoli, irritated by the fact that kids hate vegetables and love ice creams, has created an army of vegetables to destroy the flavor galaxy. Only the Ice Cream Surfer with the help of his 4 super tasty friends can prevent that.

Got the only achievement by pressing "Ok" on launch options dialog. Main menu itself doesn't support keyboard nor mouse, so don't even think about getting this product on any matter.
4min of this game (shows all 5 characters. check my channel for a ful lrun) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Id8RdOtP6Fw -NOTE- you need to hit H on the keyboard to continue or confirm some options, also there is no auto fire, or "exit game" option. A simple shmup with cute graphics and (overly) easy gameplay based on ice cream treats. You play as 1 of 5 characters fighting various vegetables cause diabetes i guess. Each has their own unique shot and special. As you kill enemies they will drop gems that when grabbed will fill a power bar. When the power bar is filled your attack will get stronger and it will sometimes add a spread to it. Other items will drop from enemies like popsicle (fills your power bar), color changing popsicles (makes you invincible and damage anything you touch), keys (a cupcake will follow you shooting when you do & will let you take 1 hit), & letters spelling "ice cream" (i have not gotten all the letter on a board yet)
As a fan of scrolling shooters and "cute-em-ups" in particular you have no idea how much it pains me to slap a negative rating onto this one: in my opinion there are few things the modern, self-serious gaming landscape could use more than a straightforward, arcade-style romp involving an evil, mustachioed piece of broccoli and a bunch of dessert-themed superheroes out to stop his nefarious veggie-centric schemes. Unfortunately, while the developers behind Ice Cream Surfer appear to have had their hearts in the right place, their execution simply does not do justice to Twinbee, Parodius, and the other more illustrious goofball shooters to come before it. After picking one of five characters to blast off with (be advised that some are much less effective than others), you traverse a handful of side-scrolling worlds, shooting down various cute and/or ridiculous baddies and collecting the shiny gems, power-up popsicles, option helpers, and bonus letters they leave behind, expending a bomb when you need a trump card. This, sadly, is often, since your player sprites (and hitboxes) are so large that maneuvering through gaps is very difficult, and enemy shots are very small and difficult to see. This is especially a shame since the candy-colored visuals are not bad to look at, and it would be nice to have the opportunity to admire the scenery a bit without worrying that a pinprick-sized bullet will steal a life away from you in the meantime. Even discounting that, there's no auto-fire either, which means you have to mash the shot key to keep a steady stream of attacks coming; this would be merely irritating if the fire rate was decent (or if a charge shot was available), but no matter how quickly you tap there's a strict limit to how potent your offense can get, especially when at your default pea-shooter power level...and the fact that you lose everything when you die means that you'll be dealing with that frequently. Out on the periphery there are numerous additional unfixed issues that are unlikely to ever be addressed: the screen options don't work, controller support is sometimes sketchy, the post-stage roundup screen scrolls by too fast to read, and so forth. I hate to do it, but I must insist, even if you're hungering for a throwback to the good old days when you'd beat up a bunch of ninjas to earn a burger invite from Ronald Reagan and nobody batted an eye, don't let this game lure you in: your fond memories of those times will only end up melting away into an unsightly puddle, like a forgotten bowl of vanilla fudge swirl on a summer evening.
First impression: cheesy retro shooter that suffers from control support Plays the way the screenshots suggest, but the gamepad support seems partial at best: I couldn't find out how to select items from the menus. While the game is set up to allow two players doing local co-op, we couldn't get that to work properly using keyboard controls. The actual stages can be played using keyboard or an Xbox controller. If local co-op worked, I would recommend it for some nice cheap 2-player fun. As it is, I don't.
Juger ce jeu me parait difficile.
--------------------------- Ice Cream Surfer, besides being a boring game, with an intro that is impossible to skip and being short (I think it must be 1 hour or a little more), has a TOTALLY bugged integration with Steam: you unlock almost all achievements when you open the game for the first time, then the last one is unobtainable unless you download an old version through commands (I didn't bother). Even without this problem, I wouldn't recommend buying it, there are several better games in the genre that are cheaper or free.
