From what I can tell this game functions fairly well in Desktop mode. In VR mode not so much. I enjoy what's there but it needs a lot of work. For the most part it feels like it's been developed mostly for the Vive/Oculus as you'll quickly find out when playing with an Index. Controls needed remapping to get out to the first area to really get going. You are then met with the issue of your HUD being so tiny that you cant see your own health. My biggest gripe with the game is mostly how the weapons get positioned relative to your person. For example when I picked up the shotgun the position of my hand isn't on the trigger of the gun but rather positioned off to the right side of the under barrel of the weapon. It seems nitpicky but it feels wrong you're handling it real time. I've got no problem with auto reloads either but in a VR game if you deprive me of the satisfaction of reloading the shotgun after I blast enemies with it then it just kinda feels hollow. I give the Dev points for doing this. Even more so for including it with the desktop version FOR FREE. More developers of these kinds of classic style 3D shooters should look into porting their game into VR and it can work like it did with Serious Sam and Amid Evil. I assume the experience is different on an Oculus Headset or a Vive but for the Index this game just comes with a lot jank. It's a "Not Recommended" based solely on Index functionality. I'm sure this game could be one of the VR greats with some more polish and QOL updates. But as it is, it's more bothersome to play (on an index) than on desktop mode. Dont discard the game fully if the jank in VR is offputting, the desktop version does still give you a decent game regardless.

The best/closest thing to a Doom VR game I've played
I played for 20 minutes, no intention of refunding but probably won't be playing it extensively. It's not the cleanest implementation of VR, and given that I think it's built on GZDoom, I understand. The gun placement doesn't feel quite right, the HUD is scaled real weird and makes it so you can't really see what's on it, even with some tinkering. I'm on an Index and the dev did say they have a Quest 2, so I went into this expecting some weirdness. All in all, seems fun, I'll probably come back to it later or just play the desktop version. After all, buying one gets you the other which is a reason in its own right to recommend this. I'm just glad to support a solo dev.
VR Version is crazy, so realistic that i felt like Sakuya was coming inside of me. (yes i might have slightly shat myself when i have seen the gazillion Danmakus coming right at me)
Love temp of the game
Broken controls - you need to bind Run or enable autorun to win this game. You unable to jump to balcony from moving elevator at some point or evade fire from Flandre. Only one gun seems useful - the first one. At elevator battle it is easier to die and wait till it moves all way up and switches to next map (but you lose all weapons expept 1st gun) If you roll weapon - bullets fly in wrong direction. But it is VR experience and fan-made project!
of course its pain in the ass to make this work
no está mal esta versión, la idea no es mala y se disfruta en vr a pesar de ser bastante simple
I haven't gotten a chance to play the base game yet, I'm not sure how it is, but I got a VR headset recently, so I decided I would give it a try in VR. I. don't recommend this. The controls are very slippery and easily cause motion sickness, the positioning between the controller and the in-game hand is wonky, and the text prompts are difficult to read in a VR headset. Also, when you die, it inverts the direction your head looks? Like you'll turn your head left but it'll look like you're moving right. It's very disorienting. I'm sure the base game may be fine, I'll try it out later.
