Just Completed the game. A super trippy and colorful realistic horror game where you explore different space void like floating buildings like haunted stone structures, glowing smokey towns and dreamlike starry mountain tops, caves and cloud lands. The game is super fun and full of laughter, scary pale witch ghosts and ugly monsters. Super trippy moments cutscenes and one hell of a cool experience

I AM ETHERIC es una demostración técnica de lo que el terror indie puede lograr hoy en día. Es una experiencia de "fuego lento" que apuesta todo a la inmersión visual y sonora, alejándose de la acción fácil. La Experiencia: Encarnas a Alex, alguien con la capacidad de enfrentar entidades espirituales, pero no esperes un shooter. Tu misión es desterrar a un Arconte de Nivel 9 en un hospital psiquiátrico, y tu única defensa es tu poder espiritual y tu ingenio. La jugabilidad es clásica del género Walking Simulator de terror psicológico: explorar pasillos opresivos, resolver puzles de entorno y sobrevivir a la presión de una entidad que no puedes matar a tiros. La sensación de indefensión es constante y es el pilar del juego. Lo mejor: Gráficos: El nivel de realismo en las texturas y la iluminación (UE5) es sorprendente. El hospital se siente sucio, abandonado y genuinamente aterrador. Sonido: El diseño de audio es el 50% de la experiencia. Jugar con auriculares es obligatorio para sentir dónde acecha el Arconte. Lore: La premisa de los "Arcontes" y los niveles de poder espiritual le da un trasfondo más interesante que la típica historia de fantasmas genérica. Puntos a tener en cuenta: Ritmo: Es pausado y metódico. Si buscas acción frenética, te frustrará. Este juego te pide paciencia y observación. Duración: Es una experiencia narrativa compacta, centrada en contar una historia concreta de principio a fin. Conclusión: Si disfrutas de juegos como Visage o MADiSON donde el entorno es tu enemigo y la atmósfera te ahoga, I AM ETHERIC es una recomendación sólida para pasar una mala noche (en el buen sentido). I enjoyed the game. The story is pretty out there, visuals and atmosphere are nicely done. There is some very light puzzle solving and some chaotic enemie encounters that dont last long but get the heart pumping. I particularly enjoyed the end boss encounter. Starts out as a pretty decent walking sim horror game then devolves into a janky key hunt game then briefly a rage bait platformer then back to janky horror again. So not very good overall but I wouldn't feel right downvoting because it's a solo dev and it felt like he poured his heart and soul into this game.

Selten hat mich ein Spiel so mitgenommen, dass ich nach einer Stunde eine Pause brauchte. Nicht weil es schlecht ist – sondern weil es einen so tief reinzieht. Das Sounddesign ist der eigentliche Gegner. Kopfhörer auf, Licht aus – ihr werdet verstehen was ich meine. Kein Spiel für Action-Fans. Sehr wohl eines für alle, die echten psychologischen Horror mögen. Der größte Schrecken steckt nicht im Monster um die Ecke. Er steckt in der Frequenz dazwischen.

Ok. I Love that I can come back in here an update my review. Thanks to the dev's update/patch I was able to get to the end of the game. And I am glad I did. This was a game that showed a lot of love and unique ideas for a horror. Something trippy, spiritual, and terrifying. I'm glad I can confidently say I recommend this game for people looking for something a little out of the box with the parallel worlds, nice puzzles, and beautiful visuals. My favorite parts were the interactions with the **spoiler** "deity" character or as we come to find out; our inner self. I can honestly say this was a breath of fresh air in I believe the horror game genre since it approached topics like inner self-awareness, the dichotomy of good and bad/evil, and spiritual enlightenment. I AM ETHERIC es un horror en primera persona con tintes espirituales que te coloca en un hospital psiquiátrico abandonado. Encarnas a Alex, un “banisher” — alguien con poder espiritual — que visita el lugar para enfrentarse a una entidad interdimensional (archon) y sobrevivir a la experiencia. Este título mezcla exploración, sustos ambientales y acertijos sencillos mientras te guía por niveles cerrados en un entorno oscuro y opresivo. El enfoque no está en el combate directo, sino en la tensión y el descubrimiento narrativo. Requisitos y rendimiento: Los requisitos oficiales son sorprendentemente altos para un indie: mínimo un RTX 3050 con 8 GB de RAM y un i5, y recomendado un RTX 4070 con 16 GB y CPU potente para configuraciones altas. Eso sugiere que el juego apunta a gráficos más detallados y efectos de iluminación, pero también puede significar optimización exigente para hardware medio. No hay señales claras de caídas frecuentes de frames o errores críticos (al menos en mi caso, con una 3060 8gb + 16gb ram + R5 5500, no tuve problemas al jugarlo a gráficos medio), pero los parches recientes (1.1 y 1.2) se enfocan en estabilidad cinematográfica, glitches visuales en secuencias y balance de jugabilidad, lo cual indica que el dev está corrigiendo problemas temprano. Ésto a mi parecer, genera confianza a rejugarlo más adelante siendo el juego más estable. Jugabilidad y sensaciones generales: El ritmo es pausado en comparación con horror más frenéticos. La tensión viene de la ambientación y los sonidos ambientales más que de enemigos constantes o combate intenso. La historia y temática espiritual pueden atraer a jugadores interesados en horror psicológico más que en acción pura. Su ambición técnica (y requisitos altos) podría dejarlo por debajo de expectativas para jugadores con hardware modesto. Recomendado moderadamente para fans del horror narrativo que tienen hardware medio-alto y toleran experiencias lentas y tensas.
