tldr - recommend trying it and seeing if you like it as it is free I've played this game 3 times, each after a significant update and I've seen how it got better over time. I'm surprised on how much content is in the game considering this is a passion project developed by one person and is released for free on steam. There's a lot to love about Humans Connect, the cut-scenes of this game are expertly crafted and are supported by an awesome OST! Most of the bosses have more than one phase, each with unique moves and gimmicks. You can clearly see how ambitious the game is despite having one developer working on it. However, with it being solo developed it falls short in several areas: - You can tell there is potential in its story/lore but it's not as impactful due to poor dialogue and some character performances being better than others. - Having to jump back to main menu after each chapter breaks immersion and I genuinely believe the story would flow better if the next chapter would play right after you finish the one you are on. - The game is generally inconsistent in it's controls, subtitles, art style (some cut-scenes are comic strips) and gameplay in some bosses. I would still recommend people to try the game despite it's flaws as it is free and you can tell that a lot of effort went into it.

A short, but sweet boss rush game developed by a single person, which is an impressive feat of dedication. The game has 5 chapters which includes the additional content "Shadow Call" and the DLC "Relinquish". Each chapter comprises of a boss fight and story cut-scenes with beautiful artwork. There is a variety of move-sets and approaches to said bosses from blocks, parries, perfect dodges, meter attacks, attack cancels and minor combos. The music is also solid. My main criticisms of the game include: Not being able to control the menu with the controller (but you can play the game with the controller, in my case an xbox one controller). Inability to skip cut-scenes No subtitle option No option to reduce or turn off screen shake (which is only relevant in mostly one chapter anyway) Spoiler:
I feel like the fight in the third chapter when Alpha has a shield there should be some kind of visual indicator that the shield got damaged, but I also understand the fight seems to be designed to confuse you
All in all, it's a fun game and it's free, why not give it a go?
Just got done replaying the game for the achievements. I can't get the last one no matter what I do like closing the game, doing all the chapters, or using a controller. Very unfortunate. Humans Connect got some updates since the last time I played. There are more cut scenes. Of course, there are some glitches like being invincible in Chapter 2 and Chapter 5. In Chapter 3, there is a rare bug when Inpu fires a blast he keeps running. In the extra chapter, some of the bosses dialogues are gone, and the only dialogue I recognized was "That's enough!". What I like about the game are its cutscenes and the combat is cool like watching a super hero show that. Unlike other games, werewolves are usually used as enemies to fight against the players and that was it; there were nothing special about them, but in this game, you play as a powerful werewolf who fights against a jackal with a scythe and a demon. I think the game wants to make it challenging by providing intense combat, and to tell a story about a werewolf fighting to protect his master while fighting to survive in this apocalyptic world, but it's not engaging enough. I would like more context from the characters. I don't know what Nightwolf is protecting Julia from when they are running away, why Inpu tries to kill them when he was trying to save her, or why the Alpha is inside her seeking revenge. The interaction with each other are very neutral, so it's not very interesting and I don't learn anything new about the world or their life. The story is explained more from discord, but in the game, there's not enough information. And then the combat needs to be more fluid. The biggest problem is that the combat is very stressful. The bosses start-up attack are not noticeable that it can lead to some cheap hits, and their attacks are random, which I think that was the intention, but they can attack "anytime" when I am attacking, and one hit from them are deadly. There are some bugs that makes me invincible from most attacks in Chapter 2 and Chapter 5 when I play as Julia. I agree that it would be nice to have some button mapping or key bindings because I don't like that my guard button is R1 and to summon my allies is L1 and A. The stages are good as they way since it requires a lot of space to move around and they fit with the theme of the world. Music fits with the game. I can feel the transition between combat and flashbacks. Those are my thoughts on the game. I had fun with the game. I can't wait for the next one. Edit: Never mind. I got the achievement. I just had to disable the Steam inputs.

Very fun and variable gameplay, amazing character design, astonishing art, AND WEREWOLVES! I LOVE THIS GAME! Shukran my dear Arab friends for this good game! Bugs & Recommendation: - Fix volume option and add a music mute button. - Fix resolution arrow buttons. - Fix the bug where I cannot summon my bois in Chapter 5 part 2. - I thought the Heroine was a guy at first... Maybe change her 3d model's chin? - Add subtitles (not necessary). - I would have really loved if there were sections where I can fight goons and not just bosses, like a hack and slash game or smth... بالتوفيق لكم...
Super
This game is so ass, the only thing "fun" about it is it's funny cut scenes and the cringe. Not even kidding, this game made me want to kill myself. Would not recommend, goodbye.
This is ASS
