HTR+ Slot Car Simulation

Essayé avec manette Xbox360 : la sensibilité de la manette est mal foutue et pas réglable dans le jeu : pratiquement injoueable. => désinstallé

chose whaever car > upgradde grip > grind cash. That's it. Not a bad game basically tho', I came to the conclusion that as exciting slotcars are in real life, as unplayable is a simulation of those.

My brother and I used to have a blast playing with slot cars when we were kids. This game does a good job at simulating the authentic experience. I've only played for a few moments so far, but I already enjoy the graphics and overall gameplay. I do have two issues, however: the controller support is not fully implemented, and the there is no option to enable vsync. Despite these minor issues, this is a fun experience that is best played with mouse and keyboard.

This game has great music great looking graphics, even has a chase cam thats quite fluid. But as you see its a slot machine game, You need one of those quick slot machine contollers, that has a wheel on it to properly play this game. Its all controlled by one button, the left mouse button. To this I say F-U game. The control mechanism is a slide bar on THE ACTUAL SCREEN which you can quickly choose the amount of speed you wish your car to travel at. Too quick and it might spin on even the slowest of corners, too slow and you will not keep up with the other AI Racers. This game could have been so much more. But i can not even clear track 2, trying to find verious ways of controlling the car around the track requires quick slow to fast accelleration which you can not have with the mouse button held down and pushing forward / backwards to slow the car down will never be enough or even quick enough for this game. A good looking car racer with piss poor controls. YAY for game. Just a massive miss on how games work.

Je pense que pour beaucoup ça peut être un achat pour contenter une certaine nostalgie du jeu qu'on a souvent eu enfant. J'ai quelques souvenirs avec mon père sur ce fameux circuit. Une pièce entière consacrée... des fous rires, de jolies voitures, et une première initiation au fonctionnement de l'électricité et des potentiomètres. Alors retrouver ce plaisir sans les inconvénients d'espace réservé pour le circuit, de rangement, de boites, de prix des pièces de rechanges, etc... forcément ça donne envie. Le jeu n'est pas vraiment beau, mais a de jolis effets lumineux. Cela dit les trois postions de caméras proposées ne nous permettent pas d'avoir le recul nécessaire pour ne pas avoir la gerbe au bouts de quelques tours. L'éditeur de circuit n'est vraiment pas folichon puisqu'on ne peut rien décorer. Et même le système de progression proposé pour débloquer des pièces plus performantes pour les voitures ne parvient pas à donner suffisamment d'attrait au jeu. Comme je le disais la caméra y est pour quelque chose mais je crois avant tout que dans ce jeu de notre enfance il y avait deux composantes importantes : faire notre circuit et faire la courses avec les ami(e)s et la famille. Ici l'éditeur est faible et on joue seul contre l'IA, impossible de retrouver l'ambiance de notre enfance dans ces conditions. Un tel jeu devrait pouvoir se jouer en multi en ligne et multi local.

This game is all flash, and absolutely no substance. The only advantage HTR+ has over Virtual SlotCars (the other slot car sim on Steam) is the graphics, which do look nice. However, Virtual SlotCars is superior in every other aspect, including physics, progression, customization, and play value. The physics are abysmal in HTR+, particularly when it comes to stunt jumps and loop-de-loops; regardless of your skill or speed, it's a 50/50 crapshoot whether you crash/deslot when performing these maneuvers. Progression is gated behind a paywall of ingame currency which can only be earned the very first time you win a track, and then only when you clock a record lap time on that track (there is a cheesy way around this in which you can download a simple player-created map and incrementally achiever faster and faster record laps for payouts each time, then delete the map and redownload, rinse and repeat). This game punishes you for upgrading your car beyond a certain speed, and higher-level body shells make your car impossible to race. I can't imagine how difficult and frustrating this game must have been prior to the implementation of gamepad trigger compatibility. The camera angles are absolutely terrible in HTR+, two of which are virtually unusable. In ANY racing game, players must have the ability to see what's ahead of them, and you simply don't get that in this game. Some of the races start with wipeout curves you cannot see until you have wiped out. That's poor game design. A lot of love clearly went into the meshes and textures and track design, but that's about it. Everything else is exceptionally poor quality. This game only cost $7, but I still feel ripped off. If you want to play a solid slot car racing simulator, don't give this game another thought and go buy Virtual SlotCars for a similar price.

Es bastante malillo, pero lo puntúo positivo porque me flipa el Slot y hay pocos juegos sobre este hobby ;) Los menús son muy malos, no está traducido al castellano y para mí lo peor es la cámara, ya que no te deja ver justo lo que te viene delante. Lo positivo son los gráficos y lo bien ambientado que están los circuitos. Píllalo de oferta :)

Loved slot cars as a kid. This takes it up 1000 percent. Beautiful graphics, easy game play with mouse or controller. Well thought out tracks so the cars dont fly off all the time so its fun to play and not an exercise in frustration. Very fun. Lots of tracks and different levels. Can upgrade cars. Good game.

I rather play Yazuka 0's racing games.

I would recommand this game to those who played (and enjoyed) the IRL game, the other players may find the gameplay quite odd. The only few cons are the graphic textures a bit flat and the graphically poor UI, but in counterpart the game offers a lot of content with tons of tracks, championship, cars evolution, editor, community tracks, etc. The graphic engine will run at full fps on mostly all configs, it doesn't need a lot of resources and goes very fast in all three camera modes. About the controls, the idea to use the gamepad trigger to accelerate is cool because it reminds the IRL game, but I found it too sensitive on my xbox gamepad and I had to use the mouse instead, which works ok. 7/10
