Warning: Asset Flip! House Tidy is an asset flip, or what Valve calls a "Fake Game". The "developer" paid for/pirated someone else's example/template/tutorial game, changed the name/reskinned a couple of things, and submitted it to Valve as if it was their own game.
House Tidy is an extremely low effort "fake game" from the Russian asset flip/scammer, Enoops, with a fake account to hide his identity, once more making something that's just enough to look like a real game, but with no depth, substance, or value as a game. And, of course, made of assets and code stolen and plagiarised from real developers... Enoops wants YOUR money for the work of others. Bell Studio have shown a repeat pattern of unethically dumping other people's work onto Steam as a cheap, nasty cash grab, through this account or through closely linked/alt accounts. Here's some examples so you can see for yourself:

"Book of Shadows" = Polygon Western - Low Poly 3D Art Pack developed by Synty Studios
"Mighty Vikings" = Polygon Vikings Pack developed by Synty Games
"Little Adventure 2" = AB1 - Fantasy Platformer bundle developed by Yoyogames
"Driver Night Trip" = POLYGON - Construction Pack developed by Synty Studios
"Fast Wings" = Sky Flight Full Game Template developed by Puppeteer
"Deadly Threat" = POLYGON Dungeons - Low Poly 3D Art by Synty developed by Synty Studios
"Little Adventure" = AB1 - Fantasy Platformer bundle developed by Yoyogames
"Traffic Racing" = Traffic Racing complete kit developed by Codeer Studio
"Play a game with me" = Synty Studios developed by Polygon Prototype Pack
Taking this shovelware seriously as if it was a genuine attempt to make a game, it doesn't meet basic minimum requirements that most PC gamers expect as standard. There's no option to change the resolution and no useful graphics tweaks. There's no way to ensure this is running at the native resolution of your display. There's no guarantee this game will look right on any PC as a result of this hamfisted design decision. The mismatched game assets are fairly mediocre/low quality, it's a wonder why they couldn't be bothered "borrowing" higher quality assets for this asset flip. This is a lot like going on a shoplifting spree but only stealing the cut price store brand goods. Regardless, the poor quality assets alone should be enough to deter gamers from bothering with this. This looks and feels like a mobile app, but I wasn't able to find it on the app stores. Maybe it was removed, maybe it was rejected by Apple and Google (they do have more rigorous quality standards than Valve does for Steam, after all). Regardless, for all intents and purposes House Tidy might as well be a mobile app, it has the same limitations and dumbed down qualities. It's impossible to recommend such a game to PC gamers. We don't spend all this money building gaming rigs so we can pretend they're iPhones and play games that might as well be mobile apps. These flaws make this game fall far short of the professional standards we expect from a modern PC game. The poor quality of this game is reflected by how many people spent time with it. At the time of this review, SteamDB shows the game all-time peak player count was only ONE player. That's right, only one person ever played this at a time. When I played this for the purposes of reviewing it, I equalled the peak player count for the game. OUCH. The only player activity occurs once or twice a month, presumably someone loading it up to see what it is then quickly uninstalling it. Considering there's over 130 million gamers on Steam and well over 140,000 games for gamers to choose from, the overwhelming lack of interest in this low quality game is to be expected. This kind of asset flipping isn't harmless. It makes it harder for gamers to find genuinely made games from ethical developers. It makes it harder for genuine indie developers, who put hard work into trying to make real games, to find an audience for their products. It gives indie developers a bad name. So, should you buy this asset flip? Is this better than any of the 140,000+ genuinely made games on Steam? Of course not! House Tidy has the insane price of around $4 USD, it's not worth it given the defects and shortcomings with the product, especially considering the unethical nature of the developer. Because this is the kind of game you can just play for free on mobile phones, it's impossible to recommend anyone should pay money for the same experience on Steam. For comparison, the $4 asking price for this game could get you games like "Payday 2", "Just Cause 3" or "Torchlight". Quality, professionally made games like those are frequently on sale cheaper than this.
Profile Features Limited! Valve have marked this game as "Profile Features Limited" at the time of this review. This is usually caused by poor sales figures and low community acceptance for the game (to date). Until this status changes, this game will not give you +1 to your Game Collector badge count, appear in profile achievements or any other Steam meta-accomplishments, nor can it be displayed in some profile showcases. If these factors are important to you, it may be worth holding off before buying this game.
House Tidy is a casual cleaning and organization simulator developed and published by Bell Studio that focuses entirely on creating a calm, relaxing, and satisfying gameplay experience built around restoring messy environments into clean and organized spaces. Rather than relying on fast-paced mechanics, survival systems, or complicated progression structures, the game embraces simplicity and repetition as its core strengths. Players are tasked with cleaning cluttered rooms, organizing scattered objects, removing trash, and transforming chaotic interiors into spotless living spaces. The entire experience is designed to feel therapeutic, offering a gentle gameplay loop that prioritizes visual satisfaction and stress-free progression over challenge or competition. The first thing that stands out about House Tidy is how immediately relaxing the atmosphere feels. The game uses bright lighting, soft colors, and comfortable interior design to create environments that feel inviting even before they are cleaned. Messy rooms filled with scattered garbage, dusty furniture, and disorganized objects gradually become visually satisfying spaces through careful interaction and steady progress. This transformation process becomes the heart of the gameplay because every cleaned surface and organized object provides a clear visual reward. Watching disorder slowly disappear creates a surprisingly addictive sense of accomplishment, especially for players who enjoy organization-focused games or calming repetitive tasks. The gameplay structure is intentionally straightforward. Players move through rooms collecting trash, scrubbing stains, repositioning furniture, and interacting with objects using simple controls and easy-to-understand tools. There are no complicated crafting systems, difficult resource management mechanics, or time limits forcing players to rush through objectives. Instead, the game encourages a slower pace where players can clean at their own speed while enjoying the gradual transformation of each environment. This simplicity becomes one of the game’s biggest strengths because it allows the relaxing atmosphere to remain the primary focus. House Tidy understands that its appeal comes from the calming process of restoring order rather than mechanical complexity. One of the more satisfying aspects of the experience is the visual progression system. Rooms begin in heavily cluttered and dirty conditions, but each completed task visibly improves the environment. Dust disappears from furniture, garbage piles are removed, floors regain their shine, and objects return to organized positions. This constant feedback loop makes even repetitive tasks feel rewarding because players can always see the direct impact of their actions. The game succeeds at capturing the same kind of satisfaction found in other popular cleaning simulators where progress itself becomes the motivation to continue playing. There is a comforting rhythm to completing small tasks one by one while watching an entire room slowly return to perfect condition. The game’s pacing also contributes heavily to its relaxing tone. Objectives are introduced gradually, allowing players to learn mechanics naturally without overwhelming tutorials or excessive instructions. Different room layouts and cleaning scenarios help provide some variety during progression, and later levels become slightly more complex by requiring greater attention to hidden dirt or scattered objects. While the gameplay never becomes especially difficult, the gradual increase in task complexity helps maintain engagement during the earlier portions of the game. Players who enjoy methodical gameplay and repetitive organization tasks will likely find the pacing particularly enjoyable because the experience rarely becomes stressful or demanding. The audio design complements the atmosphere effectively. Soft background music creates a calm mood throughout gameplay, while cleaning actions produce subtle and satisfying sound effects that reinforce every completed task. Sweeping floors, wiping surfaces, and collecting objects all generate gentle audio feedback that makes progression feel more immersive. The soundtrack remains understated for most of the experience, which works well because the focus is meant to stay on relaxation and environmental transformation rather than dramatic tension. Combined with the colorful visuals and slow pacing, the audio helps create a comfortable environment where players can settle into repetitive tasks without feeling mentally exhausted. Visually, House Tidy adopts a simple but appealing art style. The environments are cleanly designed and easy to navigate, allowing players to identify clutter and cleaning objectives without frustration. Furniture and decorative elements are colorful enough to keep the rooms visually pleasant while still remaining readable during gameplay. Although the graphics are not especially advanced, the game’s artistic direction succeeds because it supports the relaxing atmosphere effectively. The visual clarity becomes particularly important during later stages when rooms contain larger amounts of clutter and hidden messes that require more careful observation. However, House Tidy also struggles with several noticeable limitations. The biggest issue is the lack of gameplay evolution over time. While cleaning and organizing tasks remain satisfying initially, the core mechanics change very little throughout the game. Most objectives involve repeating the same interactions in slightly different environments, and the game introduces very few new mechanics or systems as progression continues. Players who enjoy repetitive and meditative gameplay may still find this structure relaxing, but others could quickly become bored once the novelty of cleaning begins to wear off. The game also lacks the depth and creativity found in larger cleaning simulators. Unlike more expansive titles that include renovation systems, customization mechanics, or detailed environmental interaction, House Tidy remains focused almost entirely on basic cleaning tasks. Players cannot significantly redesign rooms or personalize environments beyond restoring them to their intended condition. This limitation makes the gameplay feel somewhat shallow during extended sessions because there is little room for creativity or experimentation. Once players understand the cleaning loop, there are very few surprises waiting later in the experience. Content variety is another area where the game feels limited. While room layouts and clutter arrangements change throughout progression, many environments eventually begin to feel structurally similar. Since the objectives remain almost identical from level to level, later stages can start blending together after several hours of play. The absence of narrative elements or larger progression goals also reduces long-term motivation because there is little driving the experience beyond the immediate satisfaction of cleaning each room. House Tidy is ultimately a modest but enjoyable cleaning simulator that succeeds through atmosphere, accessibility, and satisfying environmental restoration. While it lacks the depth, variety, and long-term complexity of larger simulation games, it still provides a calm and rewarding experience for players who appreciate organization-focused gameplay and cozy repetitive mechanics. Its simple design philosophy may not hold everyone’s attention for extended periods, but for fans of relaxing simulation games, it delivers exactly the kind of peaceful and satisfying experience it promises.
