Horses:

Grooming also plays a major role, with poor care the horses can get sick. Injuries are also dangerous, so clean, feed and heal your horses.
Training:
Train your horses in 3 areas. Agility, top speed and acceleration. Everything has a direct effect on the horses and changes their behavior.
Personalize:
At the dealers in the game world, you can buy saddles, saddlecloths, reins and hair colors, among other things. And various game characters are available to you.

Reviews
Bought this game because I love horses and have had fun playing various horse related games via playstation as a kid. I was hoping for a realistic and fun game, and that is partly what I got. Pros: 1. I looove the huge map - I think the creator is really invested and wants to make this game something enjoyable. 2. I like the controls, they are kind of realistic and not too sensitive. 3. The horses are pretty and move realistically for the most part. 3. The house is really nice and beautifully decorated. 4. The game tries to be realistic regarding the equestrian life. 5. You can always do whatever you want - it's an open world game. 6. The days don't go by too fast 7. Although at first you might get a little lost and confused, after a little while you can really feel the effort the creator put into this game, which made me want to overlook some flaws and love the game more. 8. The rides are really enjoyable and the environment is really pretty with all the little critters and the mountainy landscape. 9. The horse can be injured and ill which is a happy welcome after all those child friendly horse games. Cons: 1. The characters are creepy as hell - especially if you play in first person mode! They are also very slouchy and overall not aesthetically pleasing at all - however I love how they run because I find it kind of cute and quirky. How the character jumps however is pretty weird but that might not be the most important part for many. 2. It is super hard to find some stuff - it took me an hour to figure out how to clean the horse because I just could not find the right brush. 3. The characters have the weirdest conversations. Every time you meet a new character you couldn't care less because they're super robot-like in the way they talk and are generally just really NPC-y. This could however be because this is just the early access type. I would like to be able to love or hate, maybe relate a little to the characters in the finished game. 4. I often have no idea of what I'm supposed to do, the quests are vaguely explained and I still have not found that trainer I was supposed to deliver some book to. 5. It bothers me that I can only feed my horse carrots? I'd like to have the game a lot more realistic in the way that you care for your horses. Maybe it would be fun to add some chores like cleaning out the stables, feeding the horses with hay and fodder, and so on? 6. You cannot breed your horses. 7. The game kind of exhausts my computer even though I have a good gaming laptop. 8. The inventory is kind of weird an not smooth at all. Also the inventory chests have a super weird way of allowing you to shuffle through their contents, that slot design seems to me like it should be in games 20 years older. 9. Sometimes I walk through the fences and stuff like that, so maybe it's a little bit glitchy from time to time. What I'd like to see: 1. Breeding!! 2. Real equestrian chores: cleaning out the stables, farrier work, feeding fodder and other products, buying the hay, teaching lessons, taming from a yearling or just some fun details like that. 3. More humane and less creepy characters. 4. More story, maybe a love interest or just something to get you more hooked on the game. 5. Less weird chest slots. 6. Maybe add back-pack options so one can carry more items. 7. Better English would be appreciated, but of course not the most important. 8. More various diseases maybe? Just a suggestion - not most important. Otherwise I think this game has a lot of potential and I do not regret those 20$ I spent on this game. Love the idea and I really hope that this will become something even better!
Another very interesting, enjoyable horse game! I played the first Horse Riding Deluxe and really enjoyed it, so I was quite excited to see a second game and I wasn't disappointed! There are a lot of similarities between the first and second game, so I won't go into as much detail in my review for this one as I did the first. I've been looking for reasonable horse games for a long time and I've tried many of them. This game is one of the closest ones I've found to what I've been looking for. Gameplay: - It's open world, so you can explore as much as you want to. - Steering your horse is easier than the first game, but still realistic. You need to train your horse for it to become easier to control. - There's no time limits on anything, so you can take your time and enjoy the game at your own pace. - There aren't a lot of quests at the moment, so your main source of income is racing. Pros: - Stunning graphics in an very large, beautiful world, such a detailed environment. - Day and night cycle. You don't need to sleep at night so you can enjoy the beauty of it as much as the day if you want. - The horses aren't what I'd call perfect, but they are very cute and much better than a lot of others I've seen. - Lovely background music, very appropriate. - You can swim freely with your horse, which I love! - You can choose your point of view to third person or first person. - You can tame wild horses! - The dog pets are really nice, though at the moment there isn't the same variety of pets you could have form the first game. - You can't customise your horse's colour, but you sort of can by changing their mane colour. - There is some character customisation, though some might think it's still a bit limited. Cons (though I didn't personally find any these to be much of a problem): - The animation of the character’s moving and jumping is still a bit strange looking, though I mostly play in first person view and don't really notice. - The dialogue is a bit strange sounding, though not too difficult to understand. - The horse care system is not very interactive. You simply buy the items and click on your horse to use them, there are no mini games for this. (Though it didn't really bother me since I'm not really into that anyway). - There is currently no way to choose a name for your character, horse or pet. - There is currently no way to have more than one profile. - There's not a lot of story line in this game currently. Comparing Horse Riding Deluxe and Horse Riding Deluxe 2: Even though this game is still early access, I felt that so much had been improved from the first game. Horse Riding Deluxe 2 has so much potential for me. I definitely recommend this game. 9/10
Horse riding sim + graphics + quests = This is all about horses. Buy, train, tame, feed and customize. Explore the open world with scenic views. Expand your stable, complete quests and racetracks. This is a brilliant game and will test your skills
This game is surprisingly enough, kind of fun. Its a great way to pass the time if you love horses and lovely landscapes and mountains; the world is pretty appealing to look at. I made a video playing the game! : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xnlQIQ3q1Bg&feature=youtu.be Of course, it has its flaws. It's a little buggy and the grammar needs refined; and the selection of tack is a little limited. I really do wish there was english saddles, and the bridles actually had bits. It's also pretty easy to get stuck inside of your horse, where then you have to mount and dismount. Just a little tedious. Apart from all the nit-picky bugs and mishaps, considering this game is early access as I write this; theres a lot to do, especially for those who enjoy collecting things or a completionist route. It took me about 3 1/2 hours to complete just the available quests (that are out right now) and I still have a ton of things I could do. Again, this is a great time killer, if thats what youre looking for.
The steering and control of the characters is fine but that's about it. Translation to English is poor, making the game a little confusing. The graphics options are terrible so it was hard to play. Definitely not worth the $20 price tag.
This game is on the way to becoming really cool. Just a few suggestions if not for the game: -Breed foals -Build your own ranch completely from scratch (wall by wall exactly how you want it) -Let The player change the controls (some of the set controls are very hard to use for the purpose they are set) (Super annoying that the horses just randomly change pace) -buy and sell horses -have competitions - water and feed you buy or find but its actual plants in the wild or its packages/barrels of feed that you use a carriage to collect -Have a dog and cat option (the ability for both at same time) *Also if you end up wanting to do a farming game please message me. I so badly want a farming game that you completely start from scratch and you get to choose everything. Dont care how much it costs long as i get to tell you what i mean
It has potential. But needs more work.
