About
Horripilant is a chilling incremental dungeon crawl through the horrors of a forgotten underworld. Combining idler, puzzle and autobattler elements, you'll fight, mine, and think your way through the depths of a forsaken dungeon. With each step you'll grow stronger, but beware; every boon has its burden.
You awaken. An old, battered knight, lost in the darkest corners of an abandoned dungeon, with no memory of how you got there. The stench of decay permeates the thick air. The walls seem to whisper your name.
A strange tree catches your eye. Barely a sprout, growing in defiance of the dark. The voice demands you hit it. A twig breaks off onto the ground. The first of many.
Distorted moans echo from an empty staircase. Beckoning you. You must go down. It is your purpose...
Encounter bizarre characters, solve cryptic puzzles, and survive the horrors that lurk in every shadow. Will you escape this living nightmare, or will it consume you?

Incrementally gain and collect materials.
Combat horrific foes over 1000 floors in the dungeon.
Solve puzzles and explore the depths of your camp.
Upgrade your gear to venture deeper.
Meet God
Become worthy
Repeat, adapt, and survive. The depths need you, and you, them.

The gameplay itself is quite simple, even for an idle game. The skill tree is straightforward and the resource gathering is monotonous at best. However, where this game shines is in the visual style, gruesome atmosphere, and surprisingly good writing, all three of which are inspired. Having all three of characteristics in a game is pretty uncommon, and the fact they are in an idle/incremental game of all things is quite funny and bizarre. If you have ever heard of the loreGB series Vermis, this game gives very similar vibes in style, which more than make up for the simplistic gameplay.
Played on the demo and really liked it so I switched my save to the main game... Uh, it is interesting... This is supposed to be a clicker, puzzle and horror. As a clicker it doesn't have many fancy things, the grinding is extremely hard (100 meat for the first useless pet and 8 million for the second?!!!), Plus no fancy skills and extremely slow combat. And not only meat but every single resource's grinding is so tiring. You do nothing most of the time. On the puzzle I mean it is the least focus of them all but things are pretty obvious, still I don't rate it badly And on the horror... It has a certain charm... Too bad it can't keep it up with the difficulty and grinding. If you have some extra bucks or this game is on discount buy it (I might buy it if it is on discount in the future) but I would suggest not doing so at it's full price. (At least for people in Argentina or countries like that where the game can be quite expensive.)

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,419 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

very cool art style. love the horror vibes. not very interesting mechanically but overall a fun idler.
♥
Overall a really enjoyable incremental game. I was a bit too dumb for some fo the puzzles but it was a fun addition to the idle game. Overall 8/10.
Love the plastiboo style of artwork. Number must go up!
This was a worse experience than my PhD. I would do it again.
