it is a well-known fact among gamers that foxes are masters of wavedashing. However, as this delightful platformer proves, their natural adversaries are equally as skilled at the art of smashing mechanical-paw-first into the ground at a 45 degree angle for a burst of momentum. In slightly more serious terms: it's a fast-paced casual version of Dustforce with a cute cyborg bunny and you should play it right now. What it intentionally lacks in challenge - explicitly avoiding any form of failure state - is more than made up for by just how fun it is to get around, and a built-in gif saving hotkey makes it a doddle to share your greatest moments. The only things I feel it's missing are a level editor and some form of points/combo system (maybe a score attack mode?) to further reward players with big numbers for keeping their momentum up and doing cool things, but those are both features I think it would be nice to have rather than anything critical.

I'm having so much fun schmoving this adorable bunny around these beautiful courses! It's like if aiming a laser pointer yourself was good! And the dot can wavedash. And is a bunny. And came with banging music. What was I saying? Anyway, I look forward to vibing in the evenings with Hoptix and practicing cool bun tricks!

This is a game that’s mostly about movement feeling transcendent so it’s good news that the movement and speed were excellent for my entire experience. It’s a joy to run fast, grind on rails, jump on targets, and carry momentum from one platform to another. The game may be [i]TECHNICALLY[/i] short but I think if you are going to play a game like this, part of the experience is re-doing levels and trying for a faster time because this game feels best with a sense of mastery as you elegantly move through one section to the next. You have to be willing to challenge yourself to get the most out of this one. Add that to great visuals and music, and this is an infectious game.

this game is really fun! just finished playing through all the stages once there are still some small bugs, but that's to be expected from an early access game and for less than 8 euro you really cannot complain movement feels exactly like how i wish 2D sonic felt, the background art is gorgeous and the music has a great vibe it also runs great on steam deck, i think this will be my new commuting game with the time trial mode definite recommend imo get this game

Really, really fun. Some very interesting movement; has me wanting to come back to practice more and see what else I can do with it. I like the "sign smashing" segments - very smart way of varying the level progression and hinting at you to play in different ways for a bit.

Hoptix'x movement reminds me of spending many hours going around loops in the Fancy Pants games as a kid, and that's always a good thing. The character is adorable as hell too!
