Gotta make a change For once in my life It's gonna feel real good Gonna make a difference Gonna make it right

Perfect game for achievement hunters as all 24 levels take about 15 minutes in total to complete.
Since each of these seven games produced by NanningsGames are mini games, I am going to review them all together.
Super Space Jump Man
Decent little platformer/runner where you are an astronaut leaping from planet to planet to the end of the level (of which I believe there are 24). They begin to increase in difficulty with various obstacles being added along the way. It actually looks nice in that pleasing, 1970's Atari/Intellivision type way, with a catchy little soundtrack that despite looping repeatedly, doesn't really overstay its welcome. Decent game for what it is.
Super Orb Collector
Same basic graphics and sound. In this one though, you control a large orb trying to consume all the smaller orbs on each level without touching anything else. If you touch something else, you explode and respawn with collected orbs remaining collected.
Super Grower
In this one, you are a square trying to consume everything on the screen. However, in order to do so, you have to consume them in a certain sequence (which varies from level to level). The things you consume don't sit idly by for the msot part though, and enemies are color coded, which determines the type of attacks they use against you. This one is essentially bullet hell-lite.
Hookshot
In this game, you basically hookshot your way around levels, again avoiding obstacles, on your way to the end of each level. That's about it.
Cube Mission
In this one, you roll a cube around trying to solve each levels puzzle. As with the previous games, each new level might add a new mechanic. In this one, there are flamethrowers, spiked cubes, etc...all standing in between you and the end of each level.
Tricky Cat
This one is a simple platformer with the twist that each platform can only be landed on once per level and disappears afterwards. The key is to clear all platforms and then still be able to make your final jump to the star at the end of each level. The puzzles will change a bit with teleport tiles, spike tiles, and so on. I found this to actually be the easiest of these seven games.
Enchanted Path
This is a disappearing tile game where you have to find the correct path to the end w/o trapping yourself. Some of the levels up the ante with a second avatar that moves exactly like the first, thus making traversing the paths even more difficult. Other wrinkles are added as you progress as well. The graphics in this one were an upgrade from all of NanningsGames other games they produce.
Verdict
I found no issues with any of the games. Each is k/m and gamepad compatible. Some favor one over the other, but both are usable throughout. All of these are pick up and play mini games. Play for a few minutes or achievement hunt your way to glory in an under an hour each. For a buck or so a piece, I think you will get proper value from each.
If you found this review helpful and would be interested in supporting my Curator group, it would be appreciated. Very good game. Had fun to play it. Big Thanks to the developer for creating this game.
For this game I found it hard to decide if i should recommend or not. The game itself is a basic idea and it would be a good game to play, to kill sometime. The music is average. If you like steam achievements then this is the game for you. The price for this game I find way too expensive. You can find games similar to this far cheaper. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FoiRKOT4Yi8
I'd like to say yes, but the caveat is too great.
Puzzle game with a simple, neat idea
You auto-rotate and can "hook" yourself to the wall being pointed at. If you hit a spike you die, and once you reach exit you win the level. There are no time limits and the levels are fairly easy, so it's a rather casual game. I only wish the rotating speed was a bit faster. As you complete levels (each of which grants an achievement), new features are introduced, like moving or disappearing platforms, timed doors and auto-rotating level. It's fine and cool so far.
But then it ends
It lasted less than 15 minutes. Twenty-four (24) levels sounds like a reasonable number, but they are short. Short is good for this sort of puzzles, but then I'd like there to be way more of them, something of the order of 100. Therefore, it's not worth the full price: I got it for €0.50, which feels almost but not quite adequate to me. There could be e.g. a challenge mode, say, with time limits or limited number of hookshots. Properly balanced, even the present content could be made worth it.
Conclusions: decent but not enough content
Consider the length: less than 15 minutes. By all means, the levels are nice and puzzle design adequate for the bunch, but it's so short. There's nothing else compelling about it. I mean, it's virtually bug-free (good) and the soft colorful choices of palette are cute (nice) and its music is okay but forgettable (oh well), but nothing is making me say "woah" for its 15 minutes of stage time. Yet, if you get this for about €0.50 or less and want a short achievement/puzzle fix, it may still be worth it. If it were free, it would definitely be a recommendation. Incidentally, you can play it free on Newgrounds. So maybe go there first and come back if you want to support the dev and/or get the Steam achievements. ~Twistorian Curator~
100% completion clocking out at 12 minutes is laughably low when the levels are so primitive you could probably crank out a couple of them in one evening with ease.
Hookshot is a puzzle game developed by Nannings Games and incorporates an elementary model of its genre. Though not an abhorrent adventure, this title does not suggest intense intrigue. This Steam review merely reflects the functionality of the title contrasting its general mediocrity. This writing will also be brief considering total completion of this title occurred in just over fifteen minutes. I must disclose that I received this title from the developer through Steam’s Curator Connect service.
Here are a few items to consider: Gameplay - Namesake in mind, Hookshot is a puzzle game that consolidates Left Click to its only pertinent control scheme mapping. This command-with successful timing-allows the player to traverse levels by accurately maneuvering between nonhazardous spaces directed by a line that slowly orbits the player’s cubical or spherical sprite. Hazards both idle and mobile prevent this progression, and each object has clearly defined rules and expectations that can be discovered with visible inspection or a trial and error approach. It can be arduous waiting for the line to arrive where you want or need it to be at the beginning of the game but hastens progressively upon nearing the conclusion of Hookshot. Personally, I did not find this title to be strenuous nor ambitious, though it is clearly too expensive for its length and scope in my mind. TL:DR - Hookshot is an abridged excursion with unassuming graphical quality and adequate gameplay. I would recommend this title primarily to those that enjoy quick puzzle titles, but also to individuals that strive toward easy achievements. I would also highly recommend waiting for this title to go on sale before purchasing. Thanks for reading. Do you feel this review helped in any way? Hookshot is a 2D minimalist mobile app tier action/puzzle where you must guide a ball through an obstacle filled level. A line representing your trajectory auto-rotates around you so you must click to fire yourself along that trajectory with precise timing, after which you'll bounce off walls and eventually come to rest, to repeat the process until you hit the goal and move to the next level. I was inclined to say this is a Unity asset flip because it has all the hallmarks of one, although I couldn't find the template they copied. Regardless, the quality is on par with such shovelware. Minimalist, lazy graphics, mobile app tier gameplay all make this fall far below acceptable standards for PC. It's the kind of thing you can play for free on mobile, so I don't recommend anyone pays for this kind of thing on Steam.
