Modeled estimate, not a reported figure. How we estimate →
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.71/day in the week to Aug 26 → 0.43/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,419 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Add-ons
Each DLC is estimated with the same model as a game, then summed — a modeled figure, not reported DLC sales.
Sums Steam only; GOG, Epic publish no volume signal, so the true total is higher by an unknown amount.
Updates
Build ids and update times come straight from Steam's PICS — the same source SteamDB reads. Patch history grows as we record new builds.

Reviews
A worthy "2.5D" successor to the best 3D RTS series of all time. The design and aesthetics are right in line with previous entries in the series. There is a trademark sense of heft and realism to the units which I often find lacking in more cartoonish RTS's, as well as a sense of scale and scope in the levels. Although I prefer this game's spacebound cousins, this land-based entry in the series avails itself well.

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 11: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

Вороги в кампанії не використовують ресурси. Вони просто випорожнюють десятки юнітів через певні проміжки часу. Cильно обмежена висота камери... Неможливо пропустити катсцени. Це лише пародія на Homeworld.
Campaign is peak.
This game is easily a 10/10. Must play. I love all the little details including the background chatter as you play, the explosions and the nuclear missile launch sequence.

I absolutely love this game and I also love all the Homeworld games! The atmosphere and lighting are awesome. great music. great gameplay. Camera can be a bit frustrating at times. If you have newer hardware with the latest drivers and the game is crashing then try forcing the game to run on DX9 by going into launch options and entering either -d3d9 or -dx9
WELCOME TO DESERTS OF KHARAK. First, its tactical gameplay is strong and focused. Battles emphasize positioning, terrain, and unit abilities rather than just building large armies. The desert environment isn’t just visual—it directly affects strategy, with dunes, elevation, and line-of-sight playing important roles. Second, it has a well-designed campaign. Missions feel purposeful and connected, often introducing new mechanics at a steady pace. This keeps the gameplay engaging without overwhelming the player. Third, the atmosphere is distinctive. Even though it’s not set in space, the game captures a similar sense of isolation and tension. The vast deserts, combined with subtle storytelling and sound design, create a mood that feels very close to the original Homeworld tone. Fourth, the audio and music stand out. Composer Paul Ruskay returns, and the soundtrack plays a big role in building immersion and emotional weight during missions. Fifth, the story and presentation are compelling. It acts as a prequel, adding context to the Homeworld universe while remaining easy to follow. Many players appreciate its serious tone and narrative delivery. Finally, the desert setting itself is a strength. Instead of feeling like a limitation, it gives the game a unique identity among RTS titles and makes battles feel grounded and intense.
Reminds me of a time before games became throwaway. Great build up through the campaign so far and feels like a great spin-off from HW1 and 2. Definitely recommend to any RTS fans.
