HoloCure - Save the Fans!

The absolute peak of the genre. And it's 100% FREE! The gameplay loop is insanely addictive, fast-paced, and incredibly satisfying. Every single character feels unique, and trying out different weapon combinations never gets old. It is honestly mind-blowing that a game with this much content, love, and polish is completely free with zero microtransactions. An absolute masterpiece. 10/10.

this game sucked the soul out of me

This is not just another Vampire Survivors clone. There are much more systems at play, more characters, entire housing system. I'm not too deep into VT lore, so most characters I do not recognize, but they definitely have some "theme" going on for each: one is all about food, another is all about shooting, another is about area and size... In other words, you do not need much knowledge about HoloLive or VTubers, you may miss some references if you don't but game would still be coherent. There is a gacha system, but it runs on ingame currency, so not much different from "random drops" in thousands other games. One thing I wish is for screen to be less cluttered with effects and sprites to be of higher resolution. I understand that some of it may be a stylistic and/or production cost choice. If you are into RPG-lite games with 15-20 minute sessions and fan of anime - highly recommend. This game might be outright dangerous to you, given how addictive it is :)
