About

Hold Your King is a physics-based co-op platformer set in a stylized medieval world full of parkours, dangers, and coordination. Trust your friend and carry the king to the throne room.
Beware the physics while carrying the King! Your speed, acceleration, and angular momentum directly affect his balance. Every step you take decides the King’s fate—and therefore yours.
Keeping the King balanced is up to you! Lift the stretcher up or down, rotate it left or right, and use physics to your advantage.
Bonk the King to steady him—but he might get angry. Do it at your own risk!
King is responsive to his environment, you can manipulate him as you wish. You could be a bit kinder, though.
Or be ready for whips and tantrums.
Pick up the King and drag him back onto the stretcher. Simple? Think again.
Use the stretcher to interact with dynamic obstacles and clear your path!

Hold Your King is a delightfully chaotic cooperative platformer that takes a simple concept and transforms it into a surprisingly engaging multiplayer experience. Developed by Next Big Game Studio and published by UGC90, Joygame, and Gamersky Games, the game places players in the unusual role of royal attendants tasked with carrying a demanding king across a series of dangerous medieval obstacle courses. While the objective sounds straightforward, the journey quickly becomes a hilarious struggle against physics, environmental hazards, and the king's unpredictable behavior. The core gameplay revolves around two players transporting the king on a stretcher while navigating traps, moving platforms, gaps, and other hazards. The challenge comes from the game's physics-based mechanics, which ensure that every movement has consequences. Running too quickly, landing awkwardly after a jump, or failing to coordinate with a partner can easily send the king sliding off balance. This constant need for cooperation creates a rewarding gameplay loop where communication is just as important as platforming skills. Every successful crossing feels earned, while every failure often results in laughter rather than frustration. What makes Hold Your King stand out from other cooperative games is the depth hidden within its simple premise. Players can manipulate the stretcher in multiple ways, adjusting its angle and position to overcome obstacles or maintain the king's stability. These mechanics introduce an element of problem-solving that keeps the experience fresh throughout the adventure. Rather than relying solely on reflexes, the game encourages teamwork and creative thinking, making each obstacle feel like a shared puzzle to solve. The king himself serves as one of the game's most entertaining features. Far from being a passive cargo, he reacts dynamically to the players' actions and often becomes the source of unexpected complications. His personality adds a humorous layer to the gameplay, as players must not only protect him from danger but also manage his temperament. Certain interactions can help stabilize him, but they may also trigger amusing reactions that create even more chaos. This mechanic gives the game a unique identity and ensures that the royal passenger remains at the center of every memorable moment. Visually, the game embraces a colorful and cartoon-like medieval aesthetic that complements its lighthearted tone. Character animations are exaggerated and expressive, helping sell the comedy of failed jumps, awkward recoveries, and frantic attempts to save the king from disaster. The environments are varied enough to keep players engaged, introducing new hazards and platforming challenges that steadily increase the difficulty. The presentation may not push technical boundaries, but it succeeds in creating a charming world that fits the game's playful nature. One of the strongest aspects of Hold Your King is its ability to generate organic stories between players. Many of the funniest moments arise naturally from failed plans, mistimed jumps, and desperate last-second recoveries. The game thrives when played with friends, as communication becomes a central part of the experience. Whether coordinating a difficult jump or arguing over who caused the latest royal catastrophe, the social interactions become just as important as the gameplay itself. The game's intentionally awkward physics can occasionally lead to moments where success feels slightly out of the player's control. Those looking for highly precise platforming may find the unpredictable movement frustrating at times. However, this unpredictability is also the source of much of the game's humor and charm. The design clearly prioritizes memorable cooperative moments over perfect precision, and players willing to embrace the chaos will likely appreciate what the game is trying to achieve. Ultimately, Hold Your King succeeds as a multiplayer-focused adventure that blends physics-based comedy with genuine teamwork. Its clever premise, engaging cooperative mechanics, amusing king interactions, and accessible presentation make it an enjoyable choice for friends seeking a lighthearted challenge. While it may not appeal to players who prefer solo experiences or highly technical platforming, it delivers exactly what it promises: a funny and entertaining journey where carrying a king becomes far more difficult than anyone could have imagined. Потратили с другом 5 часов. Спасли короля с острова Эпштейна. Посадили на стул Новэльного(Признан иноагентом). Нам очень понравилась эта игра, ждем второй части.
This game is a lot of fun! Only tried 2 players mode. It's increasingly challenging but not too punishing because there are a lot of checkpoints. It's only really playable with a mouse and keyboard at the time of writing. It's easy to learn and get used to the gameplay. We laughed a lot while playing and I'm looking forward to our next session!

Audio does not work properly. I can't change language to english. Can't start the game properly.
Do not buy this game. Me and two other friends bought it and we could not even start the game. No part of the game even explains anything of why it wont start, is it only for 2 or 4 players? not 3? Should be advertised as such. Also the mic setting dropdown never tells you to refresh it to see options, so that took some time to even get that working, not that it mattered cause the game wouldnt start. On top of that it said my game language to Danish, and when I tried to set it to English the option isn't even there. Why would I want it to be in horrible translated danish???
Gostei muito, você fica com ódio do rei mas é maneiro. Tomara que lancem outro mapa. ♥
Oyun çok keyifli gerçekten arkadaşlarla bayağı eğlendik. Parkur çeşitliliği ve oyun fiziği gayet güzel. Arkadaşlarla vakit geçirmek için güzel, kesinlikle tavsiye ederim.
