If you enjoyed Conker's Bad Fur Day and aren't averse to a fair amount of jank, this may be a game for you.
I love this game. Picked it up during a winter sale and thoroughly enjoyed my time with it. I was engaged and entertained the entire time, and looking forward to the next wacky gag. 100% the game in about 10 hours, which didn't feel too short or too long. it has lots of fun little secrets and rewards that make exploring worth it. Its super charming, and while the combat can be a little janky at times you can tell just how much love went into this game. Can't wait to see what he make next!
i like to call these games the bargain bin games, but this one was fun. the combat was goofy but fun, the bosses were funny, npc's were funny, music was chill and the world was basic but fun to progress through. overall the game is a vibe and it's just funny if you want a short, cheap and funny thrill. it's sorta souls combat, nothing crazy though but they make it funny so it pays off. the platforming was decently intuitive at some parts, and actually pretty damn fun. i recommend this game to those who like 3D platformers, and/or want a fun little game with all around goof!!
Very charming game with soulslike and platforming elements, all made by 1 developer! The brightness in the snow level is way overtuned though...
fantastic game in the vein of conker's bad fur day / early platformers. tons of fun. pretty funny as well
Hobo Cat adventures is a fun little platformer, reminiscent of games like Spyro, although with a very hobo twist. There are a number of puzzle-like elements, some boss fights which are tricky until you figure out them out, and a good number of collectables. Crude humour is a feature, which it does enough to be funny, but not so much that it becomes cringeworthy, and on that respect I think the game is excellently balanced. There's a very limited inventory and no levelling up, which I think given the overall flavour of the game was a good call. My main gripe with the game would be that to an extent, it doesn't quite go hobo *enough*. The first three areas are great, and really give it a hobo feeling, but after that it becomes kinda more generic: there aren't really any new mechanics or NPCs to get jobs from, and previously introduced ideas stop being used. It's got the common problem of money being largely useless, partially because it's so easy to get and partially because there's nothing to spend it on; replacing it with some other kind of collectable might have been a better option, even if it was still something you bought upgrades with. All up though, considering this was largely made by just one guy, this actually pretty good. There are some definite areas that could be improved on with a little more time, sure, but I certainly don't regret buying this.
Better than Dark Souls
Conker's BFD x darksouls that leaves you wishing it was better. Combat was bad but game focuses more on collectibles. There is no point on getting the good ending or the chainsaw other than achievements. Be aware that you can store items in inventory I forgot and it made things harder. I could only store 2 so had to turn in chainsaw parts separate. Funny thing, last achievement was the crab tried everything to kill it until I ran out of ideas and all I had to do was stomp on him. If you see money bags and closed chests that you cant interact with its likely already collected and it stayed due to crashing or turning off without a proper save.
♥♥♥♥ Stray, this is the cat game to play
