Hobby Horse is a casual racing game where you create your own hobby horse and rider, then compete through obstacle courses built around running, jumping, boosts, and improving your skills. Between races you can customize your horse, character, and room while working toward new trophies and unlocks. Pros ✔️ Live your horse girl fantasy without the cleanup! - You get the horse, the competitions, and the trophies without ever having to clean a stable. ✔️ Customize your horse and rider!!! - There are options for your horse's colours, shape, and accessories along with outfits for your rider, so you can actually make the pair feel like yours. ✔️ Surprisingly good racing gameplay - Underneath the silly concept is a pretty solid racer with drifting, jumping, boosts, and courses that actually take some skill to get good at. Cons ❌ It caused some motion sickness - Quite a few viewers who do not normally struggle with motion sickness mentioned feeling it while watching, which feels worth warning people about. ❌ It really needs co-op - Racing hobby horses already feels like something I should be able to do with friends, so being limited to single-player feels like a missed opportunity. ❌ Customization unlocks could be faster - Customizing is a big part of the fun, so having some of those options take longer to unlock than I would like slows down one of the parts I wanted to play with most. Conclusion It's a neat game and I'm glad I gave it a shot. It is the right amount of silly wrapped around a surprisingly solid racing game, and once I stopped laughing at what I was playing I was actually trying to get better at the drifting and jumps. Score 8/10 Hobby Horse Hurdles - Apparently a stick horse was all I needed to start caring about lap times.

A wonderful game. It fully revealed my hobbyhorsing talents. Finally, I can soar on my rainbow horse like in my dreams. They did a great job with the customization and physics. Kudos, I'm looking forward to the gay skin for Gay Month (it's standard for all hobbyhorsers).

A fun, chaotic and hilarious ride! Theres still so much for me to unlock once my riding skills improve. The tracks a just the right length that is you fail to beat the passing time its not off putting to ride again, test out a new build or try to earn an upgrade and come back. The Gnome Town area did have what felt like a bit of a difficulty spike where you really needed to master drifting and maintaining speed to get through. I've yet to dabble with the custom track mode but the potential is massive. What I would love to see is some form of multiplayer, either a splitscreen, time trial with some friends, or an online competition.
