I am liking the game thus far. Dev is active and pushes out updates on a regular basis. We get a lot of land to build on. Having fun creating my farm layout while completing quests/tutorials. I like that my car is the only one on the road as there are some very curvy roads. The landscape is beautiful. Sometimes I just drive around to see the views.
If you have issues with issues you probably want to wait on this one for now. Little things like having finished quests suddenly become partially undone, so you need to re-finish them. To larger things like disconnecting an expensive piece of equipment from your tractor only to have it disappear forever. I'd wear out my keyboard if I'd try and list all the issues I've run into so far. No offense to the devs, but it might be a bit of a stretch to call this early access, and I'm writing this review after their planned release date. If you read through their early access comments they have some pretty lofty goals with an unrealistic timeline. So if you are going to purchase this game go into it with your eyes open, don't get your panties in a bind, and cut the devs some slack. They are probably new. One last warning: Don't run over the neighbor's cat! (Not my fault, it ran behind my truck as I was trying to turn around.) It's not that the neighbors will get mad at you, you might get your truck stuck on top of the cat.
This game is great! Awesome graphics, really nice music, questing and community involvement. Yes, the game is in early access, and there are a bunch of glitches and bugs, but the dev provides multiple updates per day, and answers all questions in the Community chat in Steam. I love playing this game, and I love the support. I highly recommend it!!
EDIT 2 -- It's been close to 20 days after release and not a single day the developer has missed giving updates. Two updates daily fixing bugs and now they have added a bunch of new stuff/machines!! I don't know what to say but this is really a behaviour of a developer that we players should respect. Most of the bugs are solved now and a bigger content update is upcoming.. I feel very happy to support this dev. They seems to be very passionable about the game. EDIT 1 -- Lots of bugs are fixed now. Lots of QOLs have been added and the dev actually listens to the community. They already implemented three of the requests I asked for. I'm so thankful about it.. This game is getting mixed review only because it's a bit complicated. But there's one gem of a game is hidden behind all the EA bugs. So the first thing I say is that please give this dev a chance. They've created a game that offers a lot of possibilities and all the hustle of a busy farm life. Some players are unhappy because this game doesn't offer MP or workers yet. But really, does every single game needs to have MP? Do you always need a worker to manage chores? Some responsibilities we must carry alone. Many have complained about game lags but thankfully I haven't experienced any lag or fps drop yet. I'm not on a super pc even. I've a gaming laptop with 6gb of rtx 3050 and 24 gb of RAM with a 12th gen i5 processor. And I haven't even turned on FSR . I'm on either TAA or TSR. I wish the game had DLSS but even without that my GPU is utilising most of it and the temp. is average as well. So I really don't know what the lags others are experiencing with a much better pc than mine.. I'd say don't play the game on epic settings. Play on high settings and you should be free of lags. Quick tip- if you've played the demo, then clear any demo save files from your SSD manually and if possible unintsall the game for once, and again reinstall it fresh. This will solve a lot of bugs. Game offerings -- This farming game is work of a solo dev so a lot of improvements they are adding daily but it already offers all the hustle of an abandoned ranch or a big farm should have for an alone person(the player). You gotta clean and clear weeds to recover fertile soil, you must keep your machines full of gasolines, sprinklers full of water, you must use the cleaned weeds and dry grasees to make compst that will be back to plants as fertilizer, you gotta tend your animals and must keep an eye for predators that will normally try to harm the animals (like a fox will try to steal chickens), you get to make and sell farm fresh products, or you can sell your harvests straight. You will tend greenhouse, you will cut trees down, you will fish, you will dig and mine and there's some more features which are upcoming.. Some developers really deserve support from us. What do you say??
Okay... i think i have never played a release this buggy before. Audio, visual , control glitches, antialiasing not working properly. brightness is way off. Blurry in general. The only somewhat enjoyable visual setting for me is TAA with upscaling to Epic. Fsr will cause texture and shadow flicker. Visuals in general are not up to par with what would go in 2026. The game runs on UE5 and runs horrible. Like every UE5 release, it is super unoptimized, rendering is pretty much as slow as can be, there is LOD pop ins everywhere despite setting view distance to max. I run the game at around 80 fps , 1440p. Game is on an nvme drive. My OS is Linux and the game runs via proton and without tinkering. you can add + 10 fps when you play on windows. The game has weird mouse sensitivity scaling. I use 800 dpi on my mouse. When i put the sensitivity in game to max, it is still not fast enough and i need to set it to 2000 dpi in my mouse software. There are design choices that seem very weird. The icons above plants look very out of place and could be better and the usage of plant booster makes it a bit silly and so is the animation. So i decided to not use it. Animations in general are a bit out of place. I don't know if i think that because i approach the game with more realism in mind or if it just irks me. I rather have no animation when i harvest crops instead of them wobbling away into my inventory. With that out of the way, why am i recommending the game despite it's issues? I originally posted a very angry, negative review but decided to let the game grab me and played it for 5 more hours. In these hours i got a better overview on what you can do in the game and that is a lot. Several crops, a lot of crafting, cooking, quests, animals it really delivers on that aspect and is cozy with no real pressure and the building system is nice already but would benefit from a snap build toggle option. So for anyone considering this game. The dev updates frequently. I'm not sure if he will stick to it though. There is loads to be done and i hope he does not lose the drive to develop further. So i advise you to put it on your wish list and check on it in half a year. It's price is somewhat justified for the content. But not for the performance.
Really enjoyed the improvement so far. Thank you for all your hard work. I noticed a few things that seems to have a look:Decoration Plants, every time reloading saves, flowers disappeared, marigold, begonia are currently unavailable, this feature is important to my experience. An immersion detail from the demo that i really miss, when into the lake or get close to sprinkler, water droplets appears on the screen,a small detail but a lot to the immersion.Different surfaces sound while walking on grass and rocks and hear the water being stirred around me while swimming will be great. Thank you for your time and for considering this feedback
I played for 8 hours just to give this a chance. Its so choppy and jerky when you move. There is no sensitivity control for anything. There is no tutorial on basic things. And last of all, I was out in the truck and ran into a rock due to the driving controls lacking. It got stuck on a rock and I tried to respawn. It didnt respawn the truck, but the truck disappeared and left my character in midair. I had 2 saves befor that and I went to reload off one of them. When I reloaded all my stuff I had done was still there BUT MY QUESTS WERE GONE and making me start over, but you cant. This game needs A TON of improvement bevore I will play it again. I play a mass amount of farming games and usually can deal with a few bugs. This game just wasted 8 hours of my day and left me feeling bad because I really want to play it.
The game is in early access but the updates and fixes are daily! In just a few days the game grew significantly and I am so happy with the progress. It really is a wonderful chillout game, it's engaging and beautiful visually too. You can always seek help on the discord server if you need anything. I will keep playing and relaxing while expanding my cute farm <3 totally recommend!
Finally a new farming game that is unique! I loved what i played so far, biggest points i noticed are the STUNNING graphics, very smooth performance and the depth of things like the plant systems and animal details. With more work this could be one of my favorite farming sims! Definitely recommend!
in spite of the bugs here and there, i liked it! keep up the good work!!
