Hide & Spook: The Haunted Alchemist

Помните игру прятки? Так вот, Hide & Spook - это такая вариация пряток, только с поправкой на технологии и атмосферу. Суть здесь вот в чем: посреди комнаты стоит алхимик, в комнате повсюду горят свечи, коварные призраки стараются потушить эти свечи, а алхимик должен им помешать. Трудность в том, что только алхимик знает, где свечи, а признакам нельзя попадаться ему на глаза, стараясь найти свечи по вибрации контроллера. Забавная активная игра на несколько человек. Отличный выбор для вечеринок, шумных компаний и всей семьи.

Neat concept for local 3-player on one VR rig! Allows for a variety of ages/skills/heights can play, too. Headset goes to the "seeker." Hand controllers go to the two ghosts who can't see, but rather "feel" candles to be snuffed out. Seeker tries to stare at the ghosts to take them out.

Hide & Spook is a party game for 3 players for the HTC Vive. The Alchemist wears the headset, while the two Ghosts take a controller each and sneak around the room trying to extinguish the candles. The Alchemist tries to catch them by staring at them and thus dispelling them from this earthly dimension. It worked on my HTC Vive and Index system, looked ok, played ok, sounded ok. Was hard to play by myself but i figured out i could do that. Try it with 2 friends.

I play it in the living room with friends and family and it's always a blast. I would pay for this game if I could, but there's no option to donate to these lovely people. Someone even took the idea of this game, advertised it more and made people pay for it. EDIT: It's a year later, and this is still a hit favorite for groups of people to play. Our family played this for the first time tonight and loved it. So great to have the interaction with others in the room. Great use of a unique interaction. Well done!! It feels like the alchemist is at a bit of a disadvantage. It needs to be evened out just a bit. Show the ghosts a little more somehow. Anyway, hope his isn't a dead project. It is our new favorite "party" game :)
