Hide & Crab is a free to play VR game about you as a crab. It worked on my Index system, looked ok, played so-so, sounded ok. You crawl around using your hand movement, and you have to turn yourself for real. You are on a map with huge things but nothing to do. There is a tree with a ladder but you cannot reach the first rung of the ladder. Was able to get on top of a table in the playground. It does work but not really worth the download.
this game sucks I MADE IT IN THE MULLY VIDEO
Warning: Asset Flip! "Hide & Crab" is one of literally thousands of creatively bankrupt asset flips infesting Steam and lowering the average quality of all video games everywhere.
This is a garbage joke asset flip, a couple of stolen assets lazily dumped on a basic game template to make a kind of "hide and seek" tech demo/minimum viable product, with a ridiculous cash grab/scam attempt at a ONE HUNDRED UNITED STATES DOLLAR DLC package tacked on... nothing in the DLC, but the developer is just rolling the dice on whether someone will buy it by accident. Free money from scamming PC gamers... never okay. Like the scumbags that "accidentally" add a "zero" on the end of your bill to scam you. Never, ever okay. So, "Hide & Crab" is partially or completely made up of stock assets, "borrowed" from asset stores and free asset websites. Little, if anything in this game is the creation of the "developer". While there's no up front price for this asset flip, the other problem with asset flips is that when developers aren't capable of doing their job and creating high quality assets, it's also true they can't do any of the rest of the job of a game developer either. That's definitely true for "Hide & Crab", and this kind of asset flipping never results in games that have quality or value for PC gamers. It's VR exclusive, and that shows the developer failed to understand the most basic axiom of VR game design... if the only cool thing about your product is VR support, your product is not cool. On pricing and value for gamers, this is only free in a rudimentary sense... the developer has their hand out for a $100 USD "donation" for this as you're expected to buy some extra DLC from Steam... digital panhandling and opportunistic scam pricing in the hopes of duping someone. Predatory and absolutely unethical. Despite having no up-front cost, this failed to appeal to the 120 million+ gamers on Steam. SteamDB showed the game peaked at only 3 concurrent players... this is a dismal public reception. This was so bad they couldn't even give it away. Bearing in mind that free games don't add +1 to your game collector count, should you bother adding this to your library and downloading it? Nope. This isn't worth downloading. While this didn't cost me any money up front, I still feel ripped off. Note: Joke reviews Because this is more of a "joke" game, intended to draw attention from controversy or in the hopes of going viral because it's "so bad it's good" (but it isn't good at all), there's nothing here to offer to serious gamers. As usual, with most awful/joke games, all the comedians come out of the woodwork. The vast majority of the reviews for this game are joke reviews, mocking the game for just how bad it is. The comedians give us the usual "this game cured my cancer, saved my marriage, changed my life" story... sarcastic, but not useful if you want to know if the game is worth it. Because most of the reviews are as insincere as the game itself is, the positive review score for this game should not be considered an accurate representation of the quality of the game.
