A fun tomato hunt in the suburbs where ketchup “isn’t a tomato” and every house flies a US flag... Ohhh... this makes sense now. 🍅
This one’s a quick, free little surprise that I’m very glad I checked out. Important note: this is only for the base game! I haven’t touched the extra level, but everything included here is absolutely worth a look on its own. You’re searching 100 tomatoes in a single map, and while it seems easy, the placements are more clever than you'd originally expect. There’s a nice mix of smart design choices here. The zoom is solid, though it doesn’t cover the edges when zoomed in, so you’ll need to play around with angles to catch everything (great if you enjoy a bit of challenge, less so if tiny objects annoy you). The placements are super interesting, with a great use of camouflage and perspective. You’ve got unlimited instant hints that first point you in the right direction, then circle the tomato, and they don’t block achievements. Speaking of those, they’re fun, clear, and not tied to tomatoes, which keeps things entertaining beyond the original hunt. Add in some basic QoL (separate sound sliders and graphics settings), level reset, and the fact that it’s FREE... yeah, hard to complain here. The only real downside is that zoom limitation: if you’re not into hunting for small details at the edges, it might bug you a bit. No windowed mode or brightness settings either, but again, it's a free game, so expectations stay reasonable. It took me about 15 minutes to grab all 100 tomatoes and the achievements, and it was just enough fun to make me side-eye the extra content and sequels. If you’re browsing during 2026 Steam Hidden Object Fest and want something quick, playful, and satisfying, this is an easy pick.
where the heck are they
“Hidden Tomatoes” is the first game that made me question my eyesight and my sanity. Some tomatoes are hidden so well, I’m convinced they have unionized and gone into witness protection. Unlike many other hidden-object games, the clever use of spatial perspective really adds a fresh twist—suddenly you’re checking behind shelves, under tables, and possibly in another dimension. A delightfully frustrating tomato-hunt!
A hidden object game built with premade assets, with an annoying looping BGM, and despite being named "Hidden Tomatoes" the achievement are all related to random objects and not, you know, to the tomatoes you're supposed to find. So what's the point? Also, when I tried to find one of these with the hint I still wasn't able to click on it and I had to quit. Not worth the time even if it's free.
Awesome little mindless game haha. Loved it!!
