can't even play the game... ive tried for 10 minutes to get past the starting screen. i select a mode and it does nothing.
Great game. Build your ship, develop perks and get loot drops. All this while growing your empire and fighting to defend what you have already taken against a number of other groups. It's been awhile since i have had a game where I keep wanting to play just one more battle before bed.
i can get to the screen that allows me to select campaign or infinite but cant get any farther.

nice and short (not too short so)
This is a hard one to rate but I'm ultimately going to give it a thumbs down. It's free, and it has fun gameplay, but it has a lot of small quality of life problems that make it hard for me to say is worth it. I'm going to focus on the negatives: The ability to visually distinguish anything going on is VERY poor. In almost every map I played over 8 hours, there is a giant white blob in the center of the screen (that probably is 50-60% of the total screen space) that you cannot move away from. It overwhelms the senses, and made it impossible to even see where I am aiming, if enemy ships had shields up, or honestly, even if I had my own shields up. All the colors blend together and it's impossible to tell what is going on. There are zero settings that I could find that would allow me to disable this or recolor things to make things visible. A minor gripe, but the resolution seems locked to well below what I was using on my monitor. The text to tell you what is going on is super tiny and scrunched up to the top of the screen, and the main menu only filled the top third of my screen. It's 2024 and we can't get customized resolutions, even in a free game? As I type this up, I wonder if it is possible the above issue regarding the stars covering most of the screen is related to the resolution, but again, it's impossible for me to fix so it doesn't really matter why it happens, only that it does. Your ally fleet AI is really bad. I spent most of the game considering deleting my allied fleets, because their AI would mostly consist of running into me nonstop, preventing me from moving around to get better shots on enemies. Thank god my weapons pass through them otherwise I am not sure I would be able to defeat a single enemy in the game. The core gameplay, while really simple, is kind of fun, and I think there is potential here, but these are all things that I would have thought a game out for 4 years would have recognized and addressed already.
Difficulty abruptly rising after completion of several campaigns reminds me of another hexagonal ship building game whose protagonist is a space trunk pilot
