Hexisle

I played this a ton as a demo and its only gotten better with the 1,0 release. It took up almost an entire week of my life and was great fun all the way through. Its one of those games that puts you in the right position to say "I'll go to bed right after this one thing" over and over and over again. If you have any interest in an incremental game with some really well thought out and surprisingly deep mechanics then pick this up for sure.

So, I bought this game last night because it seemed right up my alley, and, it was! I love it! Progress in the ways I want, good price for the value (I already spent more hours than dollars on this), stuff to "understand" to make much faster progress, neat graphics.

Hexisle was a great, fun game. Basically a simulated minecraft experience. There's some jank, a good bit of grinding, and some of the sub-mechanics didn't land with me, but overall I had a fun time with it and it is a fairly unique game mechanically.

What someone else said if its 1 euro per hour its deffo worth it since I lost my life for 50 hours in 4 days. I'll start at 19:00, blink and its 00:30, it's like crack to me. The whole game is 1 big adventure and given enough time you can figure out on your own how to get 100% achievements in 50 hours (at least I did and I'm not that bright) The optimisation is also suprb, 500 things can break at the same time and it's still super smooth, even on a 7 year old pc, zooming in and out becomes second nature as part of the gameplay and is super smooth as well. I think it is a fun, chill, casual game that you can easily put many hours into. You are constantly progressing and unlocking more powerful tools/perks. I like the smoothie and enchanting system to further customize your build.

I've never played another game quite like it. If it seems like it might interest you I would get it. Its a lot slower then it might seem overall, and it really doesn't ramp up in crazyness until the end. Much more about solving whatever problem you're currently facing. Do be slightly warned though I think it lacks a bit of polish in many aspects though.

I played a ton of the demo, and the new version is great. It's so good at keeping you in the flow state. The Steam release has also improved a bunch of bits and pieces, so every step of the game is delightful. Hexagons are the bestagons for a reason.
