Magical girls are real, but the pay sucks! Join the Union of Magical Girls in a tactical, turn-based adventure, as they fight to protect the city from evildoers by day, and fight to become unionised by night.

The half-baked possibility of a great game. The soundtrack, the premise and the visual style are there, but the gameplay needed a some more time in the oven.
I bought this game because I like both Magic Girl and labor unions, but I was surprised to find it's actually a decent little puzzle game. Pros: Sokoban-esque puzzles are fun and engaging Charming character portraits Staunchly anti-capitalist plot Soothing soundtrack It's like five bucks Cons: The game doesn't do a good job of explaining it's mechanics. I'd recommend checking out a guide. Pixel art is kind of meh. The game is pretty easy. Leveling up can be a grind. Enemy AI is non-existent. As far as I can they just move and attack randomly. Some minor glitches, like text boxes disappearing before they have displayed all the dialog. Overall it's a pretty decent time for the price. It lends itself well to killing ten minutes between tasks. If you like Magic Girl anime, light puzzle games, and leftist labor policies, I would recommend checking it out.

A really awesome little game!
super fun and cute game. UNIONIZE!
Wonderful little tactics game, criminally under-recognized. I loved every bit of this, and reccomend it in the strongest possible terms.
"Hero Hours Contract" is a failed, poorly made 2D retro pixel (ugh) turn based brawler with a political agenda, and of course while I probably agree with the concept there, I'm always adamant that gaming is no place to push any kind of political agenda, right or wrong. What do you do in the game? It's an unusual game with elements of RPG, finance management, narrative, turn based brawling on square grid levels... there's a lot going on, and complexity and depth is always welcome, but in this case it's a wasted effort due to the dismally poor technical implementation. This features really godawful pixelcrap "art" instead of real graphics. It's hard to say if this was because the developer didn't have the skill to do the job of creating 3D visuals, or couldn't afford to hire someone who does, but it also doesn't matter. What matters is that this looks much worse than most other games because of that decision, and that's a major deterrent to gamers. Worse, the use of pixelcrap isn't even consistent, which shows the developer could do better but chose not to, and also makes the game look utterly inauthentic. Games like Terraria and Stardew Valley succeeded despite the bad graphics, not because of them. It's free... now, but it wasn't before. The developer was charging $4 USD for this. Price barriers, especially on low quality products, can be a direct cause of failure. It's a nice gesture for the game to be given away for free, but it also tells us that the game wasn't good enough to succeed as a paid product. Even though this is "free", it failed to appeal to the 120 million+ gamers on Steam. SteamDB showed the game peaked at only 4 concurrent players... this is a dismal public reception. This was so bad they couldn't even give it away. Bearing in mind that free games don't add +1 to your game collector count, should you bother adding this to your library and downloading it? Not this time. This isn't worth downloading. While this won't cost you any money, you get what you pay for, and sometimes, even when the game is free, it's still not enough.
Cute game
pretty good game
I really like this game, I had a lot of fun with it! I found it through the woke game detector bc im woke and I was very curious about the premise. How does one handle union matters in a magical girl setting? Turns out, the writers put some thought into it and its handled really well! Basically
the girls withhold tokens earned by defeating enemies, rather than withholding the life saving labour. The beach levels also tackle beauty standarts in a really cool way, without being cruel to anyone. It was just so oddly refreshing seeing someone ponder if its rational to strive to achieve a large green head rather than a thin waist.
A lot of thought went into the writing and I really appreciate it! Also enby villain??? Omg im in love???? <3 Edit: omg, i almost forgot, there´s also a character whose affections you earn by accepting that they don´t want to hang out today and its treated as not a big deal and that did kind of make me emotional because I´m like that too. I´ve never seen that in a game before. Like, its such a small detail but it really resonated with me <3 I´ve never played this kind of turn based game before so the tutorial wasn´t really enough for me to understand the mechanics but once I found those beach levels, where you need to complete a level in the least amount of moves it finally clicked! There is a lot of content in this game! It´s just really fun and nice and I really liked it :3
