A dark lesbian horror/romance story so toxic it's emitting spores. Ethel, a shy university student, ventures into the wintry woods late at night, where she meets an enchanting femme fatale — but all is not as it seems.

Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.29/day in the week to Aug 25 → 0.43/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About

Ethel Briggs is a shy, self-conscious girl in her final year of university. Though she should be working on her thesis about Romantic poetry, her well of inspiration has run dry. After a nasty break-up with her former girlfriend, Clementine, Ethel is feeling very blue — and it certainly doesn't help that she's spending the winter holidays in the depressingly drab village of Oxbury, while her family are off holidaying in sunny Australia.
Left to her own devices, Ethel struggles to finish her thesis while the cold, wintry wind blows outside and the days continue to get shorter and darker.
Staying inside proves to be unbearable, however, and Ethel escapes the confines of her family's home for a breath of fresh air. Going for a walk in the woods should be enough to invigorate her, and fill her with newfound passion for Romanticism.
That was Ethel's plan, at least — but she wasn't counting on meeting a mysterious, dark-haired beauty in the woods, who is much more than she seems.

Friend of mine told me about this and asked if I wanted to be dommed by a parasitic hivemind mushroom girl and become part of team lesbian hivemind. I said "yeah pretty much" and then bought this vn. Great decision, come join us <3 Great writing, sound design, horror, and romance. There is something terrifying and romantic all the same in the realization of "yeah this really doesn't sound all that bad actually..."

Holy ♥♥♥♥ holy ♥♥♥♥ holy ♥♥♥♥. At first, I went into this thinking it was slow and a little pretentious at times, but everything really does happen for a reason in this novel. My stomach was (and still is, quite frankly) churning but my heart also feels something very warm for this novel. This has been a long awaited experience for a very long time and oh my god it really paid off. It really puts into effect the most literal definition of toxic yuri. Such a bittersweet novel with a lasting impact. 10/10, no notes.

!SPOILER WARNING! : Read at your own risk. In this review, I will include both the main story that's told, along with the afterstory (i couldn't remember what it was called, sorry :c) After having just finished reading "Her Love, Like Poison" my thoughts are still quite... jumbled up, for lack of better words. But i can definitely say one thing: this visual novel definitely left a lasting impression on me, in a good way. When i first started reading it - and, through about 90% or so of this VN - there was one thought that I couldn't get out of my mind no matter what: I wondered why is there so much about Ethel? Of course, i know she's the main character and it shouldn't be a suprise that so many words are dedicated to her. But, i thought that maybe it was... too much? Constantly hearing about her parents or about Clementine or about How much the girl loathed herself seemed a bit excsessive to me. "we know this already" I thought "isn't this too much detail?" These thoughts would repeat as i kept on reading - Then... when i reached the ending i finally realized what this was all for. And trust me, I felt really... REALLY stupid for thinking this much detail was unnecessary. Because of how much it's talked about Ethel's struggles - her family issues, body dysmorphia, etc. - we learn one thing that should be the main takeaway when it comes to learning about the main character: it's that Ethel hates herself, and she thinks she's undeserving of love. That's when i think that the romance in this story really comes in. When, during the finale, the girl-monster (or should i say girls plural?) forces itself on Ethel, she's initally terrified (rightfully so, who wouldn't be?). But, soon enough... she lets herself be taken by this monster, this shared conciousness, this hivemind... because she realizes at that moment that this is the first time she truly felt needed - and, by extension - finally loved, for who she is. The afterstory later also confirms the fact that Ethel did finally feel happy when being surrounded by those girls that dissapeared. That she feels at peace after finally dying. Well... she's not actually dead, her body is, but her conciousness lives on... it's still alive enough to enjoy moments with like-minded girls in this shared, blank dream. Additionally, I wanted to say a few words about the audio and graphic aspects of this VN - The art is very beautiful, and it gives off the vibe of the story perfectly. Ethel's design shows the "ordinary girl" she was in a way that leaves no room for argument. While the background may not have been anything too special, I feel that it was a good accompaniament to the overall vibe. Along with that, the soundtrack really fits the story that's being told, it makes you feel how the words on screen want you to feel and because of that, I have to congratulate the art and audio designers very much, I'm trying to keep this review concise, so I'll leave it like this: "Her Love, Like Poison" is definitely worth the price and the time you have to put in to read through and appreciate it. If you have the chance, please read it! Ebi did a very good job with this!
Toxic yuri, folk horror, and mushrooms are three great tastes that taste great together, who knew? This one may as well have been laser targeted at me. It's a short tale but one that's very novel and left me wanting more from the setting. The art's quite serviceable most of the time, with the bulk of the attention given to the setpiece CG as you'd probably expect. The music is VERY on brand with how it seems to draw inspiration from Youtube clips of mushroom "music". Y'know, the ones where electrodes are hooked up between synths and mushrooms and they turn the impulses into tunes? They're simple tunes but I felt it really added to the atmosphere. The track "Nights" is a great example of this. I do have some issues with the final scene, which I'll throw under a spoiler tag. The author mentions in the afterward notes that it was originally written with much heavier tones of
assault/non-consent, but it still felt very present to me. That coupled with the overall justifications that the MC tells herself that come off as highly suicidal left me with a very sour note.
Possibly this is something more regularly seen in this subgenre that I just wasn't expecting? I don't dip my toe in this particular water all that much, so hard for me to say. It ain't romance, though. This is horror, baby.
