In Alpha 3, the Neighbor is just as fast as he was in Alpha 2. Well... at least he's supposed to be. Mine literally got stuck, but I'll get to that in a second. This is where the Neighbor got the famous name "Mart" from FGTeeV, short for "Wallmart." I honestly wish that was his actual name because it would've been way funnier. Other than that, the game is super dark. You don't even get an option to choose between day, afternoon, or night, it's just night. So grabbing a flashlight is basically mandatory. The game also started experimenting more with stacking boxes to reach higher places and adding some parkour mechanics. The item placement, though, felt really weird. A crowbar hanging on a nail on a wooden pillar? A keycard hidden in a cabinet? And that magnet just sitting outside? I guess that could just be part of the game's more absurd style. Now for my own experience: like I said earlier, the Neighbor never caught me a single time because he got stuck in the bathroom (I think). The entire playthrough I had to listen to the chase music, which pissed me off a lot. And if I hadn't watched YouTubers play this when I was younger, I would've been stuck here for ages. There's no way you'd naturally think to go all the way back into the yard just to find a f ucking magnet. Like I mentioned before, if you don't have a flashlight, you're honestly cooked. Thankfully I already knew the house like the back of my hand, but imagine someone playing this for the first time without knowing anything. I completely understand why this game was so controversial when it first came out. And the Neighbor being able to spot you even when he isn't looking at you is something they still didn't learn from Alpha 2. That just completely sucks. I do like, though, that once the Neighbor is chasing you, getting upstairs usually gives you a chance to breathe since he can't catch you anymore. It creates some nice moments of relief after all the madness downstairs. 3.7/10 Not recommended. Maybe worth checking out if you're curious about the game's history, or you're there for the sake of nostalgia.

the ai of the neighbor got worse, he no longer adapts to your play style anymore, its dark as ♥♥♥♥, and the puzzles are directionless even for a hello neighbor game
Amazing alpha, I love the darkness of it in a way, for atmosphere its great but gameplay isnt so nice, it is VERY buggy at times but still fun.
