Hello Cruel World

Really liked it. I thought the game mechanics were novel. The atmosphere is really cool with plenty to look at. The lore builds nicely throughout the gameplay (crying child gave me goose pimples). It even worked with my first gen Vive wands…so a plus to the devs for mapping it. I didn’t care for the livestream chat because they didn’t really have anything relevant to say, but after a half-hour of play I accidentally figured out you can turn it off with a button press. Graphics were good and ran smooth as butter!

Calibration is so poorly implemented that I can't get my head out of the floor. The flashlight is also infuriatingly useless and it's a stumble in the dark simulator. Had to refund this one, sorry. Too many glaring bugs hit me in less than 30 minutes.

Enjoyed playing for the first couple of hours, then found the save point hadn't worked properly and I couldn't continue because I was stuck in a room where nothing worked anymore. Thought that was pretty poor, seems a like a basic element of the game which should work. Best not to waste your money on this unless you have the time to complete the entire game in one sitting.

O Hello Cruel World cria uma atmosfera arrepiante e intrigante, que nos desafia a explorar o complexo. Os puzzles não são muito complexos, mas demoram o seu tempo a completar. Até onde joguei, a progressão da história está a ser lenta, mas vão aparecendo 'migalhas' que nos vão atraindo cada vez mais para dentro do complexo. Apesar de não ser um jogo que está no topo dos melhores, acho que é uma boa escolha para quem gosta de jogos de puzzle com um ambiente tenebroso, especialmente se estiver em promoção.

a good game so far, I really enjoy the puzzles and think the puzzles a good balance of challenging, but not too complex. However, the load checkpoint keeps breaking the game, it will do things like remove the ability to use the microphone, or completely remove the chat, which is a shame because i loved the chat. the only way to solve it is to start a new save entirely. The game is fine, but the load issue removing 2 of the fundamental mechanics of the game does bring it down, overall, i recommend :)

A solid single-player puzzling experience with light horror elements. While there are some rough edges and the "streamer" aspect of the game feels like a last-minute feature added to grab some coverage, the game is a solid single-player experience with nice visuals and a fairly engaging narrative.

Definitely an interesting game with a hidden story underneath it all. Once you get used to the horror aspect, they weren't so bad, but it still caught me off guard. Encountered a few bugs, but managed to complete the game. Also, failed stream chat because I could not find any booze for them.
