This game is still under development. From what I have seen so far from interacting with the Dev team, is that they really care about their user base and the game they are creating. While the game is still very much in an Alpha state, I have high hopes for its success. Its fairly easy to upload content to and it's only going to get better from here. The sky is the limit on this application.
its currently 08/10/2021 when I post this - The game is HEAVILY EARLY access, I mean...this game shouldn't even be released yet its that early, the UI System is buggy as hell, and half of the features are either broken, or not working as of right now, they have a random debug feature??? - Pro's: Its pretty - runs "okay" if your computer can handle it The platform has a lot of room for creativity along side UE4, partials and other such would be amazing to see..but again UE4. I can see where there going with this, and it has potential, but they need to really key iron out a lot of the basic stuff before trying to sell this at even 10 bucks. - Cons: The game is, as I said above, Very early access, their full body system isn't calibrated correctly at all, your view point is nearly in your CHEST, when you're standing in full body, the calibration system also doesn't work, instead of using your systems "hey here's where everything is" the model is forced to just stand still and you're guessing where to stand so you can properly look right, or look like a hunched over grandma in the super market line. - Poor optimization - no surprise its UE4, but it gets worse, first time I tried loading up the game, they gave me a warning stating how the game was early access, you'll notice, bugs, crashes, etc the usual ♥♥♥♥. when I pressed okay, I didn't expect to find myself restarting the game because it ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ crashed at clicking "Okay" so we were off to great start, load into the game, try to load my home world...another crash. - NOTHING user friendly - The game doesn't tell you anything, how to open your menu, how to look for worlds, how to search for friends or social menu, how to see who's online, how to move, they dont tell you NOTHING. no starting "welcome new user, here's how to play our game" its, nope dropped and good luck solider. - - Final Thoughts: The game has a lot of potential, im not calling it trash, im not calling it bad..im saying, maybe keep it on your radar for now, give it a follow, check back in a couple of months or so, and then see how it goes. wither a burning mess, or updated and taken care of, we'll see. The developers are a good bunch, they care about their community and greatly welcome any creator of all kinds, they are willing to help you learn the ropes, and teach how you do basic avatar uploading, into the world of Helios using UE4. The community is nice..so far, we don't know how the future will hold (no offense to Helios's community) one bad apple sour's the bunch as they say. - To the developers, id suggest working on the basic's first before trying to get the game populated. List below: = Player's IK Fixes - so im not looking through my chest, its like im trying to look at my friend while at school, its picture day and im trying to show him my new reptar shirt I know you're on unreal and in super early access, but try to find some way to optimize the files so that way, you don't crash the minute you try to load the game, that's gonna look bad on a first impression, don't ya think? = = = = Ill come back later to this game and check it out once its more fleshed out, and see how it handles, if it improves ill change my review and update it with the appropriate date

this game is fun. great community and no kids . i hope they never make a quest version
A great framework for content creators. Super fun to hang out with friends in VR. Has loads of potential and a very dedicated and responsive team.
An INSANE amount of potential into a project like this. Buying this game, is not a finished or even fully playable piece. Its buggy as hell, needs tons of work - but buying this title, you support the developer(s). IMO, if the dev reads this - I'd look for outside investment. You're using UE, maybe look into contacting Epic as they have developer grants available for promising titles that would help fund tf outta this and hire the experience it needs to bring it to a better level. Getting that support, in some form, is vital to making a quality project like this work well. Otherwise it may just sit in concept limbo if the developers run out of motivation. This is currently NOT a replacement to VRC. However, Helios could be the future platform to replace it in 1-2 years time and it could easily have the potential to blow up to be huge. Buy this to help the developers, do not buy this to replace VRC cause it simply cannot (currently).
I ended up refunding because there’s just nobody to play with what makes a social VR platform fun and engaging is the player base and the friends you make along the way, which Helios has non of that the concurrent players each day is 1 you can argue that “The game’s in early access, so it’s not even finished yet” to which I will say NeosVR, Vrchat, hell even chillout Vr are heavily early access even when they first released they still had more players than this. The only thing this game has going for it is the fact that you can use unreal engine which is awesome, but all of that is pointless if they can’t develop a player base which they haven’t been able to do in the 6 months it’s been out I do not recommend just hop on vrchat or neosvr they’re not only free, but has actual people to play with.
I played this game knowing very little about it, going in with very little knowledge but coming from 4 years of VR (Mostly VRChat) trying games such as Oasis, CVR, etc. and this game by far has the best potential to be a immersive successful social game. I haven't played a game that immersed me that much ina long time, infinite room for expansion for world and avatar creators, a extremely friendly dev team, and 100fps the whole time with very few bugs. You can tell a lot of heart has gone into this game and I really enjoyed my brief experience, I will be moving to this game apon official release and getting as many people as I can too as well. Finally a game that feels alive, with devs that feel like they care.
if you know the Unreal Engine or want to learn how to use it in a practical way Helios is for you. You can use the full potential of the Unreal Editor to create anything from npc`s with behavior trees over vehicles to playable characters. You can share your creations with others by just uploading it right trough the editor and see how players interact with it.
Definitely shows as Early Access but also SOOO much potential. Unreal Engine in VR outshines VRC and even NEOS for the visuals. I'm looking forward to see the developer progress on this path!
DO NOT BUY THIS PROJECT IT WILL BE DELISTED SOON I feel bad for anyone who purchased this as I wasnt ever able to even bring my own friend into my session with 4hrs of tinkering. and im not retarded its development has just been extremely slow and taken years to get to the point of barely useable. I know you guys think you tried hard but from the outside it really didnt seem/look/feel like it. I feel exploited.
