Build Lines of the same Stones from 3 to more to get maximum effect on the Playground. Many Obstacles are blocking your way, but you get Tools to remove them, different from Level to Level but very useful. You can also remove the Obstacles without tools, because they are limited, but that will take more tme, so decide wiseful how to use them. Each Level you ave to do little Sidequests, like destroying some kind of plates. Speaking about time, you can choose to play with or without it. Each completed Level you get stars. Helga the Viking Warrior 2 is a decent match-3 tile-swap game with limited special clearing abilities and a story. If you're a fan of this type of game, this type of gameplay specifically, I don't think it's a bad game. But overall, I don't think it excels, and thus I'm not recommending it generally. * Fixed, limited count of abilities and use count per level * Different fixed/locker and enable/clearable field mechanics * A simple drawing + text story between level-area-blocks * Clear levels to collect points to then purchase "upgrades" and progress in the story * Hints on the abilities would have been nice (some activate by click, and it's not necessarily obvious what they will do) I never got stuck, making me wonder if there's mechanics that prevent it, or it's just randomly very unlikely by chance because of the distributed board. I would have liked some mechanic of clearing refilling abilities. I felt like while there is potential of tactics in clearing, randomly clearing was similarly or more efficient. Refilling abilities would have added a feel-good incentive and clearing ability when you're clearing and clearing on the same level without much progress on the goals or locked blocks. Personally, I wasn't interested in the story, mainly because I didn't want to read so much. I skipped those parts. My playtime is not a full playthrough.

Helga the Viking Warrior 2: Ivar's Revenge ist ein klassisches Match-3-Spiel, das durch eine Geschichte hervorstechen möchte. Diese ist durchaus nicht uninteressant, schafft es aber nicht, die eklatanten Schwächen des Spiels zu kompensieren. Alles startet noch recht okay. Mit sehr simplen Figuren ohne Animationen und reinen Textfenstern wird eine Geschichte erzählt von Wikingern, die in England in Frieden lebten, bis sie plötzlich angegriffen und vertrieben werden. Doch wer ist verantwortlich und warum? Das soll sich im Lauf der Geschichte zeigen. Als Grundstory ist das völlig okay, aber eben auch nicht so fesselnd, dass ich unbedingt wissen müsste, wie das Ganze ausgeht. Dabei hilft auch die biedere Präsentation nicht. Ja, das Ganze passt grundsätzlich zum Setting, wird aber in einer ziemlich altbackenen Grafik präsentiert. Immerhin passt die stimmungsvolle Musik. Aber all das wäre nicht so entscheidend, wenn das Gameplay stimmen würde. Und sind wir ehrlich: So ein Match-3-Spiel soll ja vor allem kurzweilige Unterhaltung für Zwischendurch bieten. Aber genau da fällt das Spiel komplett flach. Das Gameplay ist einfach öde, uninspiriert und stellenweise schlichtweg mühsam. Dass es völlig losgelöst vom Rest des Spiels dasteht und die Story eher wie eine Entschuldigung wirkt, um irgendwelche Levels aneinanderzureihen, hilft da auch nicht. Und ja, wenn man das Gefühl hat, dass eine Runde Solitaire oder Minesweeper mehr Spass macht, dann ist so ein Spiel definitiv gescheitert. Fazit: Ein Match-3-Spiel, das durch sein ödes und nerviges Gameplay nicht mal als hirnloser Pausenfüller taugt. Da hilft auch die halbwegs interessante Story nichts. Ganz klar: keine Empfehlung.

The effective range of the weapons is difficult to see because it is hardly highlighted in color. The time mode is a real challenge! I like that a lot! Runs very smoothly and the graphics are great! Also suitable for colorblind people because the symbols represent shapes. Runs smoothly under Linux! Very nice game!
