Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.43/day in the week to Aug 27 → 0.14/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,402 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Heavy Spoilers RPG 2: Your best friend is actually the great demon king takes an amusingly rebellious approach to RPG storytelling by treating spoilers not as something to hide, but as the central mechanic of its narrative. Developed by KSBゲームス and published by Gotcha Gotcha Games, this second entry is designed as a standalone adventure, so knowledge of the previous installment is not necessary. Its extraordinarily descriptive title deliberately reveals what would ordinarily be preserved as one of the story's biggest twists, immediately establishing a game that is more interested in the consequences of a revelation than in surprising players with it. The story follows an amnesiac swordsman who awakens in a forest while a kingdom is struggling against attacks by demons. Rumors circulate that the Demon King may be hiding among humans, adding suspicion to an already dangerous situation. As the protagonist searches for his memories and becomes involved with new companions, he forms an important friendship. Of course, players already know the uncomfortable truth about that friend. The interesting question is therefore never simply who the Demon King is. Instead, the tension comes from discovering why events developed this way, when the protagonist will learn the truth, and how both characters will react once their circumstances can no longer remain hidden. This creates a form of dramatic irony rarely used so openly in RPGs. Players enter conversations with knowledge the protagonist does not possess, allowing otherwise ordinary exchanges to carry additional meaning. Friendly conversations can feel ominous because the eventual conflict is already known, while discussions about trust, demons, identity, and loyalty become more significant because the audience understands what is being left unsaid. The game uses plenty of comedy around this concept, but it is not merely an extended joke about spoilers. There is also a sincere character-driven story underneath the playful premise. Gameplay remains considerably more traditional than the narrative concept. Exploration uses a familiar top-down JRPG structure in which players travel through towns, forests, dungeons, and other locations while interacting with characters and progressing through the storyline. Battles use turn-based commands, and characters become more capable by gaining levels and acquiring new skills. These mechanics are accessible and intentionally straightforward, making the experience easy to understand for anyone familiar with classic Japanese-style RPGs. The combat provides structure and progression without distracting too heavily from the dialogue and story. Two difficulty approaches make the experience accessible to different audiences. Normal mode retains the conventional RPG emphasis on battles, leveling, equipment, items, and character development. Story mode substantially reduces the importance of resource management and grinding, allowing players to concentrate on narrative progression. This is an especially appropriate option for a title whose primary attraction is its unusual storytelling experiment. Players interested in traditional RPG progression still have it available, while those mainly curious about the characters and spoiler-based narrative can experience the adventure at a faster pace. The adventure also has enough length to develop its ideas beyond what could easily have been a short parody. A standard playthrough can take around 15 hours on Normal difficulty, while Story mode can reduce the journey to roughly 10 hours. Additional material following completion of the main story provides further reason to remain invested after reaching the initial conclusion. This amount of content allows relationships and narrative developments to unfold gradually rather than depending entirely on the joke contained in the title. Its presentation follows a colorful pixel-art aesthetic reminiscent of traditional indie JRPGs. Environments, character sprites, menus, and battle presentation favor clarity and nostalgic charm instead of technical extravagance. Players who enjoy RPG Maker-style adventures should feel immediately comfortable with the visual language. Those expecting elaborate animation or modern cinematic production may find the presentation modest, but that simplicity suits the project's intentionally traditional foundation. The greatest strength is ultimately the way the game challenges the assumption that a story loses its value once its major secret becomes known. Being told that the protagonist's best friend is the Demon King does not explain motivations, circumstances, emotional consequences, or how the relationship reaches its critical moments. Knowing a destination can actually make earlier scenes more interesting because players recognize details that the protagonist cannot. The game effectively turns anticipation into its own form of suspense. Its main weakness is that the underlying RPG systems appear more conventional than the storytelling. Players primarily interested in elaborate tactical combat, highly customizable character builds, or extensive mechanical experimentation may find the battles relatively ordinary. The considerable amount of dialogue can likewise make the pacing feel slow for someone who prefers combat-heavy RPGs. The experience works best when approached as a narrative-focused adventure supported by traditional turn-based mechanics rather than as a mechanically revolutionary RPG. Steam Deck compatibility is not officially categorized with a Valve Verified or Playable rating at present. Given the game's comparatively lightweight presentation and traditional control requirements, it may still be possible to run it through Steam Deck's compatibility environment, but the absence of an official compatibility classification means trouble-free handheld operation should not be assumed. Players intending to experience the entire adventure exclusively on Steam Deck should therefore regard its compatibility as unverified rather than officially supported. Overall, Heavy Spoilers RPG 2: Your best friend is actually the great demon king turns an intentionally ruined plot twist into an unexpectedly effective storytelling device. Its traditional turn-based mechanics and retro presentation provide a comfortable framework, while the unusual handling of spoilers gives the adventure its distinctive identity. It is particularly appealing for players who enjoy humorous indie JRPGs, character relationships, narrative experimentation, and stories where understanding how something happens matters more than simply discovering what happens.
