Heaven's Hope - Special Edition

I liked this game up until the end when the puzzles got ridiculous and involved backtracking to locations I was done with and items that I didn't think I needed any longer. It ticked me off to the point I used a walkthrough continuously just so I could finish the freaking thing. Not fun. I hesitantly recommend this because the game was fun and the puzzles were mostly solvable up to that point.

5 Minuten gespielt, schockverliebt. Wunderschön gezeichnete Hintergründe, sehr charmante und einzigartige Charaktere, intuitive Steuerung.....und die deutsche Vertonung ist absolut klasse. Wohl eines der schönsten Point and Click Adventures der letzten Jahre. Absolute Kaufempfehlung für Freunde dieses Genres.

Une scénar très bon et original, des graphisme et une animation pas top, des actions parfois loufoques qui demandent plus de chances que de logiques et... pas mal de bugs dont un qui ne m'a pas permis de finir... Mais le scénar compenserait presque tout ces inconvénients

Heaven's Hope es un buen juego con una linda historia y visualmente agradable, en particular por la animación de los personajes que resaltan contra los fondos pintados. En cuanto los puzzles creo que empieza bien pero más avanzados en el juego las resoluciones se vuelven un poco más "alocadas" y menos racionales, lo cual genera cierta frustración. Los hints para resolver algunas cosas no están bien diseñados. Puntaje: 7/10

Okay what i am about to say here doesn't make a whole lot of sense in the light of me actually recomending you this game - but i do, it's an old game from 17 and it holds up great, it has funny and likeable characters and it's entertaining and a super silly style which is never boring. BUT *you can't skip dialogue and sometimes you end up in an endless cycle of the same dialogue over and over! *the game is pretty preachy, and not the good way. At times I felt like I was playing like some christian youth group game for real. *You get super fed up with the terrible hint/help system, and some puzzles makes NO sense! (looking at you 'clean the icons' task - that was straight up stupid!) *as a non English native speaker, I honestly think I would have been better off playing it in German. There are a lot of weird long words (Bible related and old words) that I would have had to look up, had I cared enough - small indie games have been able to help people in those regards (even before 17) then why can't you. Do you really think everyone knows what a seneshal is? (okay obviously can't even spell it). The two worst things that almost made me not recomend it, are these however. 1) the hint system is broken, and as I already stated some puzzles are nonsensical, like the giants grave one. i spent over an hour trying to figure that out, and call it a spoiler if you will - but let me help you cause there are loads of rubbish 'help' floating about. You need to read a book that you otherwise wouldn't think were related at all.. so just read all the books in the library. *And I had to re-play the game when i was like 80% done, and really that must tell you that i did have fun, cause i uninstalled for lesser 'offenses' than this. But i got stuck in a gamebreaking bug that should not be able to happen, but i didn't know that. Won't get into it here, but seriously uncool! a game that old ought to have been patched for stuff like that. All in all, if you don't mind being taught christian values by something that will remind you of the flying house, and don't mind saving every ten minutes because the game is buggy AF! then play it, cause it is actually entertaining - but do get it on sale, it's not worth €10 at all!! Get it in a bundle or whatever, do NOT pay over €2!

Klein sympatisches Spiel. Schöne Graphism und Humor

Good game overall, however, a guide is recommended, since it's super easy to get stuck (like most of the point & click). A special compliment to the art direction, really beautiful.

Es ist ein leichtes, lustiges Spiel. Für mich als Point+Click-Spieler sehr angenehm und lustig. Es ist sehr angenehm zu spielen.

Besonders zwei Dinge schätze ich sehr an diesem Spiel. Erstens gefällt mir die Grafik. Dieser zeichnerische Stil erinnert mich an früher und weckt liebevolle Erinnerungen an andere Spielerlebnisse, wie z. B. Baphomets Fluch. Zweitens ist es ein typisches Point&Click-Adventure. Da ich lieber Rätsel löse, als zu kämpfen, entspricht das meinem Naturell. Bedauerlicher Weise sind nicht alle Rätsel für mich nachvollziehbar. Ich hätte mir gewünscht über Hinweise zu den Lösungen zu gelangen und nicht durch ausprobieren, bzw. das Lesen der Lösung. Ja ich habe gecheated :) Leider. Trotzdem hat es mir Spaß gemacht, gern mehr davon.
