Peaceful, engaging and intuitive. If you want a relaxing game, this is it!
TL.DR: Wonderful and quite addicting game, first run in highest difficulty required some braining at times, but the organizational aspect and the amount of upgrades and things to do keeps you always busy. Maybe some changes can be done for simpler and more accurate information display, but awesome experience. I played the demo when it was out and I instantly knew that I would be hooked to the core with the mechanicsand how the game was presented. The only "flaw" that I may find is that, as you start to develop, the map looks and feels quite overcrowded at some times. Despite that we have the book for upgrades and as a shortcut for navigation, being able to pin multiple upgrades as a to-do and maybe having a list with building levels and buildings available to upgrade would benefit the fact that I got lost quite a couple times since the game encourages you to navigate in a sort of way. Despite of those things that I found that may be improved (from my own experience and perspective obviously), Hearth and Hamlet is a very engaging experience, I would always be paying attention to what I could build and how much resources I had every time. Additionally, maybe due to the highest difficulty, worker capacity upgrades felt in no man's land since I was always tight on workers. I need to have a second run for 100% in the game, so I will check it in a different difficulty

Very enjoyable, relaxed clicker game. Lovely design and useful mechanics. Only played on super easy so far so as to get used to the gameplay, but overall really happy with it!
I usually don't like the fact that Steam only does a "thumbs up/thumbs down" review system -- and I'll leave honest feedback in my own review -- but this game absolutely deserves a most positive review. I immediately liked the premise: you're a refugee family fleeing a corrupt nation and seeking a new start in the wilderness. You literally start with tools and trees, and have to build a camp -- fish, chop wood, etc -- and as new refugees arrive, you start to build a town. This is where the game really shines; for a simple resource management/point-click it has all the beats of a satisfying story. You're literally building a settlement that becomes a huge city -- from scratch. I do have some small gripes: the story is ALWAYS the same, and without any different game modes or variations or procedural elements, the game can absolutely feel like it's railroaded at times. But the progression within the story is genuine enough that you never feel like you're forced to make mistakes, and if you play your cards right (picking the right upgrades and managing resources, picking the right buildings first, etc) you can feel as though you really are the elder of a hugely successful settlement, or at least someone who has accomplished something in the grand scheme of things. I've played a lot of games that I had no desire to play through more than once, and yet with "Hearth and Hamlet" I beat the game on every difficulty, and then beat it -again- just to get all the achievements. And I was still genuinely enjoying the game even in the last playthrough, making me wish the game had more variations or game modes. I got 90 hours by the time I finally set the game down -- it's worth having on while listening to audiobooks or working a desk job -- and I enjoyed the difficulty curve enough that I was always planning next moves or interested in choosing my newest projects. Was worth every penny, and I recommend it.
Amazing game, Honestly idle clicker as it gets. But it allows you to focus on the game to get it to progress faster. I wish the game was a little faster in my opinion. I would of got all the achievements and done it 100% if it was a bit faster. Trading comes a little too late into the gameplay. Another mechanic i would love is to place buildings as you wished it to layout. But that is fine. Overall 9/10 Game. Worth the buy and worth your time! Great design and great gameplay. Combat is simple, Just focus extreme fights and hard fights and you will do fine.
