Heart Star

Jogo simples e divertido, com visuais 8bits muito bonitos, e principalmente, level design e mecânicas bem pensadas. Apesar de curto e relativamente fácil, recomendo se você gosta de puzzles.

Cute little puzzle game that is very easy to pick up and play.

A short snack of a game. Finished in 75 minutes. Everything Adventure Islands makes is a joy to play and look at, Minor glitches when it comes to platforming. Characters will slide even when standing still and with no obstacles. Caused a few deaths but since there's no lives system, it was okay for the most part.

November 27th, 2024 Update: I Finally Finished 100% Heart Star!!!!!!!!! Goodbye and farewell Heart Star!!!!!!!!!!!! Heart Star was a short, cute but overall fun 2D mini puzzle Platformer video game!!!! The goal is to do an on off switch between the male and female characters in order to proceed through the stages. It can be long since there's 60 levels in total. But however, there really fun to master and solve! Plus, it feels rewarding the figure out to complete the puzzle! If you love 2D mini puzzling platforming. Then you need to play Heart Star!!!! Goodbye and farewell Heart Star!

This applies to both useful objects, like platforms that let you jump across gaps safely, as well as hazards like spikes or platforms that block you in. The two characters can touch each other, allowing them to use each other as impromptu platforms or carry each other across hazards. You can freely switch between each character, but the difficulty lies in positioning them such that the other character can reach their objective while also getting both characters to the goal point. The puzzles were fairly simple but still enjoyable, and I liked the cutesy pastel aesthetic. Maybe this is reading too much into it, but it struck me the game could be viewed as a metaphor for supporting people through challenges they can’t face alone, as well as challenges being easier for different people (as in many cases, areas that are full of hazards to one character are smooth sailing for the other). The fact the characters are clearly coded as a male/female romantic relationship supports this reading, I think.

Cute puzzle game with charm.

Heart Star is a puzzle game where you control the 2 characters, Heart and Star. Each has their own platform which is invisible to the other, the purpose of this puzzle is to work together so both can land on the glowing platform. The game is simple but can sometimes be fairly tough. Its honestly a simple platformer puzzle game. Its short and cute. Its worth buying if you dont got better to do or if you prefer short games.

Bien que très mignon et agréable à jouer, je ne recommande pas ce jeu. Premièrement, il est extrêmement court, il vous faudra moins d'une heure pour le terminer. Ensuite, il est bien trop facile. Je ne suis pas spécialement amateur de jeu de puzzle, et pourtant, sur les 60 puzzles proposés un seul m'a posé problème. Aussi, il y a beaucoup trop de nouveau où il suffit de faire les mêmes action en miroir (un coup côté bleu, puis la même chose côté rouge), ce n'est vraiment pas intéressant. Je pense cependant que ça pourrait faire un excellent premier jeu pour un enfant ou quelqu'un qui n'a pas pour habitude des jeux vidéo. Pour les autres, je recommande Total Party Kill, par le même développeur, qui est un poil plus challenging et qui repose sur une idée pas si différente puisqu’il sera aussi question de switcher entre plusieurs personnages pour résoudre les niveaux.
