Haunted

Haunted es una buena aventura gráfica que no termina estando del todo pulida como para llevarla al siguiente nivel pero que igual tiene algunas cosas que intenta hacer distinto y separarse de otros juegos a los que recuerda como Ankh o Book of Unwritten Tales. Una de esas cosas es el uso de los fantasmas cada uno con una habilidad distinta que están muy bien utilizados para resolver los puzzles a la par del típico inventario del género. Lo otro es que agrega una especie de misión secundaria "opcional" que permite ver jugar un bonus y obtener un segundo final, más definitivo. El principal punto negativo es que el juego tiene detalles aquí y allá que lo dejan como si no hubiera sido terminado de pulir al 100%: muchas colisiones de los personajes con otros NPC o con partes del escenario (incluso en cutscenes que uno pensaría que están más resguardadas al no tener input del jugador) o frases genéricas cuando no es correcto el uso de un item en un puzzle ("no puedo usar eso para escapar" o alguna frase así en una situación que no tiene nada que ver con escapar viene a la mente). La historia está bien narrada, no es una locura pero acompaña correctamente. En definitiva es un juego que igual recomiendo a cualquiera que guste del género, que le faltó para estar un poco más arriba. Puntaje: 8/10

Nice adventure game with good quests and story line. Lovely artwork and voice acting. Game play is smooth. Definitely recommend this game if you are a fan of the genre.

Solid adventure game. It looks good, the voice acting is good, the music is good, the story and characters are well written. Some of the combinations you need to do to solve puzzles are nonsensical, but mostly they're reasonable, and the ghost powers add an interesting twist to the usual inventory puzzles. The 3D engine is kind of pointless, but it doesn't ever really get in the way like it sometimes tends to do in point and click games that use 3D engines instead of more sensible fixed views. There's way too much talking in this game, with a good number of pretty lengthy non-interactive conversations between characters. There's also a few times when you have to listen to the same three or four lines of dialog over and over and over again when you're trying to figure out a puzzle. It gets annoying, but you can generally skip through the dialog more quickly by right clicking.
