About
Take the helm of your own technology company in Hardware Tycoon.
Start your journey in 1986 and lead your enterprise through four decades of innovation to 2026. This game is about shaping the future of computing. Design the brains of tomorrow's devices, outsmart ruthless competitors, and build a legacy that lasts.
🧠 Design Custom CPUs
Dive deep into the heart of silicon. Decide on core counts, clock speeds, cache sizes, and thermals. Balance raw performance against power efficiency and cost to create the perfect processor for every market segment. Every design choice impacts benchmarks, reviews, and your bottom line.
🏭 Run Your Own Fabs — or Someone Else's
Own the means of production. Build and operate fabrication plants to manufacture your chips. But survival comes first: produce CPUs under contract for rival companies to keep revenue flowing. It's a double-edged sword — you stay afloat, but you're fueling the competition.
🔬 Research & Strategy
Invest your cash into risky, era-defining research projects. Unlock new manufacturing nodes, pioneering architectures, and essential technologies. Will you play it safe with incremental upgrades, or bet the company on a revolutionary new design that could change everything?
👥 Manage Your People
Your team is your true asset. Hire brilliant engineers and sharp managers. Train them, pay them, and keep them satisfied, or watch competitors poach your best talent. A neglected workforce won't build you a market leader.
🏢 Build Your Physical Empire
Start in a modest office and grow it into a global high-tech campus. Buy, lease, or sell properties. Construct R&D labs and executive suites. Your real estate decisions directly impact employee morale, productivity, and your company's prestige.
📊 Dominate the Market
The competition never sleeps. Track market trends, analyze rival products, and time your releases perfectly. Will you undercut them on price, or crush them with superior performance? Compete for market share across decades of technological revolution.

Reviews
If you've ever wanted to run your own semiconductor company, this is the simulation you've been waiting for. This game is a dream come true for anyone who wants to design their own architectures and sockets under their own brand. The level of detail is insane, you aren't just clicking buttons. You're balancing pipelines, OoO windows, power profiles, and thermal limits, choosing between different lithographies, cache structures, and instruction sets (MMX, AVX, etc.). From managing your R&D departments and setting up office layouts to manual socket design (LGA/PGA/BGA) and choosing the right packaging, the sheer depth of the technical side is unmatched in games industry. Seeing your employees actually working at their desks adds a great layer of immersion to the management side of things. However, I am experiencing a noticeable optimization issue. Once I scale up to 6 offices filled to the brim with employees, the game hits a major stuttering wall. Specifically, whenever the text pop-ups appear over the employees' heads indicating their wage deductions, the frame rate drops to nearly zero for a moment. It makes the late-game experience quite jarring. Despite that, the developer update frequency has been impressive, so I’m confident this will get smoothed out. If you love deep, technical hardware simulations, this is definitely worth your time. Just be prepared for a bit of a bumpy road as it continues to improve.
I am doing this review based off the 0.3.0 version. I want to state - firmly - at this time that the game is *very* early access. At this level of development, I consider it a recommend but please read all below. It appears there is very little activity around this game, the discussion forum is almost empty even though it's been out for a month, the game is still full of misspellings that should have been fixed within the first few days of release. There's major performance issues in late game. There's plenty of incomplete mechanics. I recommend everyone use caution and look for updates if they are looking for a polished game experience. At this time, the gameplay seems to be basically complete - research, design processor, scale up company with proceeds, and repeat. The office building system is honestly fantastic - it can auto-populate rooms with furniture and make the scaling up process very quick. I have played a game called Software, Inc. a ton, and that's usually where I stop playing, because scaling up is just too much of a chore. This game makes it fast. As is, you can go from 1986-2026 extremely rapidly with most companies if you can avoid early failures from bad chip designs. That's the game though - you have to understand the market, your company's capability, and go all in on best design possible to even stand a chance.
Personnellement, j’aime beaucoup.
It would be an awesome game if it werent that auto price adjustment.. makes a profitable architecture into an unprofitable one. prod price is 440,and it sets all 3 models between 180-250 and the chart turns from green to red. i hope we get an option to disable the auto adjustment/ manually change prices, until then i would recommend everyone to spend your money on something.
