About
You wake up gasping for air, but your lungs burn as you cough up PFC fluid. Disoriented and alone, you find yourself trapped aboard a derelict space station. But you're not truly alone—anomalous activity has consumed the station! Your only chance for survival lies in getting to HANGAR 8 and escaping this looping nightmare before it’s too late!
HANGAR 8 is a sci-fi walking simulator crossed with a spooky spot-the-difference game inspired by The Exit 8. Be on the look out for anomalies between levels 1 to 8, while using level 0 as a reference. Anomalies could be anything from something being not quite right in the environment, to deadly monsters and otherworldly entities. If you find an anomaly, turn back—otherwise you just need to keep moving forward! HANGAR 8 is all about creating a tense psychological horror atmosphere and getting you to question your sanity while collecting key items and reading lost crew logbooks in order to escape the looping nightmare!
A complete science-fiction psychological horror experience! HANGAR 8 is a complete game solo-developed with passion, that has a beginning, middle, and a single ending. While there is only one ending, there are slight differences with each playthrough, as you discover all anomalies. Any possible future updates will be FREE!
58 Anomalies To Discover, offering replay-ability for multiple escape attempts! If you spot an anomaly, it will never repeat until all fifty anomalies are found. (There is a extra mode to enable all anomalies for a greater challenge!)
Collect the 6 key items required to escape, while finding 6 optional logbooks hidden throughout the space station to read for game lore!
Interactive Objects will immerse you in this spooky spot-the-difference puzzle game. Explore the environment in order to figure out how to escape the cursed space station! You will need to look inside crates, or even turn on showers in order to verify that levels are clear of anomalies.
30 to 120+ minutes for a single play-through, depending on your perceptive skills and how lucky you get with the random anomaly selection algorithm. (Auto-save feature for if you want to take a break and continue later!)
8 Achievements to gain, one of which will test your speed running skills! HANGAR 8 has a built-in timer and an official leaderboard on for those who want to challenge me (the dev) and optimise their escape times!

Phenomenal game!! I loved all the bits of lore throughout it, and there are so many little things I adore in here I cant even mention without spoilers. I will say tho, i would die for the lil robot cleaner. Id die for him. my only complaint is theres no option to pick him up and take him with you.
This game is awesome! It had me on the edge of my seat the entire time. Truly a spectacular game! Looking forward to what else you bring to the table. Keep up the great work! I am adding to my review - I am streaming it again and I am going through and seeing some new Anomalies! This game is the greatest! I hope you have a chance to stop by and check it out on Twitch!
In our contemporary world, one of sensationalist instant gratification experiences, the indie game scene has always been a bearer of proper artistic improvisation, defying the established culture industry and pushing new boundaries to create new and emergent experiences. Nowhere is this more obvious than in the horror genre, where the culture industry fails to grasp a very simple concept : the largest human fear is one of the unknown. Once you show us what the monster looks like, we can rationalize it, and it’s no longer scary. ‘If it bleeds, we can kill it.’ The more you rely on the viewer’s personal fears to fill in the gaps, the scarier the experience becomes. As Mies Van Der Rohe would say, ‘less is more.’ HANGAR 8 follows in suite, relying on a need to know basics and letting the player explore what exactly is going on, letting us with a silent protagonist and a ‘found-evidence’ storytelling mode, where we have to fill the gaps ourselves. This approach also extends to the gameplay and the overall atmosphere of the game, where the low-poly graphics enhance the overall feeling of existentialist dread and claustrophobia, instead of detracting from them. The focus is not on photorealistic graphics, but on the skilled use of light and shadow, which works regardless of context. Only critique I might have is certain parts could provide player with a bit more feedback, but I’m on the fence as whether this is actually something to critique, as it completely fits with the aforementioned existentialist dread experience. To summarize, a highly recommended indie jewel!
I really enjoyed it. As a recent fan of these anomaly games I dare say this game was a pleasant surprise. I haven't found all the anomalies yet, some of them are very difficult to spot, same goes for the last log. Music is very good and the atmosphere also. I only found 1 glitch, as I was entering a new loop the game glitched my character and i clipped through walls. I could see the whole level (just walls) but could not escape. Had to exit the game and start over. Other than that I'd say I had lots of fun! Keep up the good work. The glitch is here if you want to check
https://www.twitch.tv/aribeth_plays/clip/RoundSwissShrimpTwitchRaid-vm9agXpULMS4y2JM
Hangar 8 is a fun game. I felt a lot of influence from the movie Alien, so whether that is the case, I went through the game with an Alien influence in mind. There is one anomaly that nearly made me jump out of my seat. I thought a xenomorph was chasing me, but the anomaly was something else. The layout of the space station requires running back and forth. After a few loops, I got used to this and it didn’t bother me. I feel that some gamers will see this as a deterrent. However, the minor inconvenience is worth the effort. There are plenty of fun and scary anomalies to uncover. I found them all.
'spretty good!
I am a scaredy cat and not one for horror/scary games... the atmosphere and environment was scary and I loved it. still had an amazing time! cant wait to go back in and hunt down the rest of the anomalies 10000000000/10 recommend this dev AND this game
i am being followed
boring
It was pretty short but really fun. It was a different take on these anomaly games. I think that helps Hanger 8 stand out on it's own.
