Okay, so there need to be more reviews on this game cause without em I would have given up because I'm not that smart. So Listen Here: First off, if you can't figure out how the game works you're going to have a bad time. I had a bad time. At first. Second, once you figure it out, it makes so much more sense and is actually a pretty cool concept. But that's all I'm gonna say it is. A concept. Because at no point after it ended did I feel like I succeeded in solving any mystery. Maybe I missed something, but I still feel like something was missing. Thirdly, if you drop the book you can't get it back and there goes the whole reason for listening in on these calls in the first place. So to summarize other thoughts: - There's a glitch where if you grab the jack it'll just fall down to each one til it hits the table. Tedious to keep grabbing and can ruin looking for the right call - You drop the book you lose the book - Don't know why, but the story feels incomplete, maybe it was meant to be - it would be nice if there was some clue as to the game mechaninc of "zero-ing" in on the call Anyway, Please try this game yourself. It's entertaining and I'd like to see what this Developer group could produce in the future
This was just the right amount of scary. Took a while for me to figure it out too. How to find the next call. When plugging in look at the interference. Try and get it to 0 to find the call. It moves after every 6 failed tries.
Hang Up 10 из 10
3/10 Creepy enough, but the story doesn't make sense (or perhaps I just didn't get it).
Played On: HTC Vive
Hang Up is a short 30 minute horror/mystery game for virtual reality. You're trapped in a small, dimly lit room where you must use a fairly large telephone circuit board to connect with and listen to calls; it's a minor puzzle element where you have six attempts to locate the correct switchboard circuit, keeping your eye on the signal interference to zero in on the right one. After six attempts are up, some spooky stuff happens and the call generally relocates to another area of the board. The gameplay can be confusing at first since there are no instructions, but it's pretty easy to figure out if you pay attention to your surroundings. Speaking of paying attention to your surroundings, that's where the horror element comes in. As you listen to each call, or fail to find it, your environment will start to change and you'll hear ghostly sounds all around you. It's up to you to not only connect to the calls and listen to them, but also to hang up at the right time or face a game over. You'll have to use your mind power to piece together the story as well, since it's not readily laid out in a chronological manner. It's a fun little freebie when and if you can get it working; the first time I launched the game I had no audio, the second time I was unable to interact with anything, and the third time was the charm. There are also some slight graphical artifacts, but they're easy to overlook.
Rating: 3.0/5.0 - Average, can take it or leave it.
The VR Network Curator | Group Click for More The Horror Network Curator | Group Click for Gore
No longer works, it looks like it wasn't updated to work with the updated SteamVR wear and it is not being updated anymore. It's become abandonware. Don't waste you time.
Mehr N.S.A.-Reviews hier: https://store.steampowered.com/curator/32170554/
Experienced on the Oculus Rift with Touch Controller(s?)
The reason I put a question mark on the plural form for Touch Controllers is because technically, you're only using one Touch Controller ... your right Touch controller to be precise. This is a spooky voyeauristic horror game for VR. You are at the controls of an old fashioned switchboard and can listen in to calls. You can only listen in for so long before the callers become suspicious. At that point, you must hang up by switching to another line. Failure to do so results in the game ending. Luckily, there are checkpoints after each call and your progress is saved. Your task is to listen in to calls. I managed to get like 6-8 calls by trying random configurations. There's lots of stuff that happens though throughout your various attempts. I won't ruin the surprises, but let's just say you'll hear stuff around you and see stuff around you. So make sure you look behind you ..... Anyways, I'm not sure if there's an ending or not. I enjoyed the experience. The voice acting was well done and the visuals were pretty good. This game will certianly get you in the Halloween spirit. And you probably will never want to listen in to other people's conversations again! Rate 6/10. It's free! So no reason to not download it if you have a VR headset.
